    Four more execs out:

-VP of Player Development Marc DelPiano
    -Asst. GM Mike Berger
    -VP/Player Personnel Jeff McAvoy
    -VP/Pitching Development Jim Benedict
Only surprise is DelPiano but hearing they asked him to change jobs and he said no so they just got rid of him. Gary Denbo is gonna bring in his own guys with like Frisaro meantioned (Blakeley and Jim Hendry as Assistant GM/Special Assistant). Surprised Stan Meek didn't get his walking papers too as Frisaro said they are looking at Jim Fleming(supposedly for Scouting Director/scouting)

Gary Denbo is still the favorite for the VP/GM job with Hendry the AGM/Player Personel and Gordon Blakeley as Special Assistant to GM/Scout IFA but Jeter is gonna have final say over alot of stuff. Its gonna be alot of guys from the NYY tree

Funny to see "fans" getting all wild that Jeter is firing all of Jeff Loria's Yes man and the player personnel staff of the worst system in the majors. I could understand if these guys had shown something but the system has been terrible. Before people jump on Mike Hill, the reasons he is still around is he has a contract, the team needs a GM until they hire Denbo(Hill actually knows what to do) and he actually is a solid scouting guy

Another bit of good news. Chen will be around for April 2018. Gets 3 PRP shots pitches in April and Sept. Can someone ask his translator why he doesn't just get the surgery and get ready for 2019?? He already is getting 64.8 million rather have him for 30 starts in 2019 and 2020 then 5 each year

After meeting with Dr. ElAttrache, Chen received a good diagnosis and won’t require surgery, FanRag Sports’ Jon Heyman reports.

This is fantastic news! That means he'll be able to make his 3 starts for the year before he has to he shut down for another "non surgery" injury!

Get your facts right-Chen can make 3 starts in April and then 1 or 2 in Sept while getting 2 more injections

Now we know why that idiot Stan Meek wasn't fired too

With all the turnover going on with new ownership and Derek Jeter as head of baseball operations, it's anyone's guess who will make this pick. Scouting director Stan Meek has served in that post since 2002, tied with Oakland's Eric Kubota for the longest active tenure in the game. According to an industry source, Meek's contract expires at the end of this month.

That sucks guess our LHP,pitchers from OK/TX/KS,defensive catchers,HS athlete who can't play baseball, guy from U of Kentucky and 23 yr old Seniors drafts will come to an end

Gordon Blakeley resigned from Atlanta but no clue if we can sign him still. He and the GM Coppolella resigned because they got caught circumventing the IFA rules. Well atleast we know how Atlanta always killed the IFA market every year!! Atlanta and Boston have to lose guys for trying to sign talent while Baltimore and Miami get nothing for not signing anything

Reports are neither are expected to be able to be signed which sucks for us because Blakeley was expected to come here and Coppolella was a NYY intern/FO guy from 2000-06. I wouldnt mind Coppolella running a Miami rebuild

The move to trade a prospect to the pirates for a front office guy was absolutely retarded at the time and remains so. He did deserve to be let go though. Not only was he not some pitching savior like he was made out to be, guys were actively worse when they were traded here and we had to have the most amount of pitching injuries outside of the mets. Glad his ass is gone. Still wont matter though if we dont start to invest in the draft and IFA and player development.

I know nothing about Coppolella as a person but from the news reports coming out today I dont think anyone should want him anywhere near here. He was being investigated not only for breaking IFA rules but also for treating braves employees like shit. Did a great job building their farm system though. Loria and his gang of morons could have broken IFA rules and still had the worst system in the league.

It sounds like Ray Searage is the real guy that helped turn all the Pittsburgh guys around.

Yeah, sounds like we shouldn't touch Coppolella.

Jeter essentially confirms without actually confirming that we will rebuild. The right move. also loved to hear in his news conference that fans will be pissed but that he will do what is right to essentially turn this team into a sustainable winner. Fans need to realize that this current core will be blown up and that it will be a bad few years, but if done right this will be a sustainable winning team for the future. Absolutely the right move. Now lets see who he puts in place to oversee this rebuild as that will be very important.

The one thing i do feel bad about is that a majority of the fans are so poisoned by loria's ownership that when this new ownership does the right thing and tears it down and rebuilds, the fan base wont give them the benefit of the doubt that what they are doing is the right thing, which it will be. Loria's stench will continue to effect even this next ownership group even while he's in france selling art.

Im very interested to see what kinds of packages we can get for the players who will inevitably be traded and the market value for them. What would you guys view as an acceptable or awesome package for our core guys who will be traded? Im thinking the Yankees/Sox would highly consider a trade for Stanton and be able to put together packages that would give fans in the area less room to complain.

What would you guys look at as a package for stanton from around baseball and be happy about?

We won't but who cares if he treats employees like shit or bends the rules? The guy knows how to get talent. Gotta say it's pretty smart how he got Drew Waters. If u didn't hear the story-He only could give him a certain amount so he gave him that amount and then bought him a car or 2

The thing that got him in trouble is he supposedly was signing guys when they were 14 yr olds. They signed Kevin Maitan as a 14 yr old then brought him to Florida to train till he was July 2. Then they did it again with Robert Puason(supposedly once in a generation talent who is 6'3 at 14) and got caught

                              Some Stanton news.

As of right now its SF,SD,Boston,NYY,St Louis who are interested(All teams interested but those are the main ones) while Stanton has told Jeter West Coast ONLY. However LAA and LAD are considering making a run at him. LAA is waiting to see how much Justin Upton wants before they start chasing him. As for LAD if they do go after Stanton we would have to take back Adrian Gonzalez's contract for next year and maybe more salary but would get prospects too. Again LAA/LAD aren't interested right now but could be-SF/SD are the favorites right now as long as Stanton keeps up his demand.

St Louis,Philly and Toronto are interested in Stanton,Ozuna and Yelich. Stanton won't go to Toronto or Philly and St Louis is fine with Ozuna or Yelich so they aren't going to go crazy over Stanton

You should do more research on the state of the front office of the braves and the reports coming out of their employees before you say "who cares if he treats employees like shit." Its really bad there. Also, this team has had enough front office toxicity for the next millennium and their are plenty of qualified people out there who can lead a capable organization without treating employees like shit. I find it hard to believe a team will ever give him an opportunity to be a GM again given what the reports are saying out of Atlanta.

And i doubt we would agree to that gonzalez stipulation in a deal even if it meant getting prospects back. I find it hard pressed that a guy who will probably win NL MVP will not be able to find a team that will take him with his salary and not give up prospects when there are 29 teams negotiating against each other, even with Stanton's NTC.

Also, Stanton doesnt really have as much bargaining power as he thinks he does if he wants to win as bad as he says he does. He is under contract for another 10 years or something and has already publicly come out and said he doesnt want to be part of a rebuild here. If im the marlins, i negotiate the best deal and tell him to take it or play on a terrible team for the foreseeable future. While his NTC does give him a lot of power, his long ass contract and the fact that he wont opt out of it in a few years combined with the fact that we are almost assuredly going to rebuild and tank for a few years limits how much power he really has if he says he doesnt want to rebuild here and would rather win elsewhere.

As far as Ozuna, i want to see us deal with the Cards, Braves, or Jays. If the Jays give up Vlad Jr. you give up Ozuna in a heartbeat. If we go with the Cards who have been interested in him since the deadline, i'd love to see us try to get alex Reyes and then another one of their better pitching prospects plus an OF prospect. I'd do Reyes + Flaherty or Weaver and an OF guy for Ozuna and maybe even add in a guy like Prado, Dee, or Bour in a heartbeat. That would be a huge win to start rebuilding the farm.
