Kim ng saying on a live broadcast that they weren’t aggressive and let teams approach them on deals during the deadline is exactly what you’d expect from this team. And is exactly what I said happened yesterday. This management and ownership has no clue what they are doing. What complete and utter incompetence. For 3 fucking years we have had a clear hitting issue and a clear pitching surplus and at the trade deadline in year 5 of a rebuild when we are 20 games under .500 against every team other than the nationals, we let the deadline come to us? Holy fucking shit this team is in really deep trouble right now. At least with loria he gave directives and wanted to win even if it was in a complete and utter dysfunctional and incompetent way, 5 years into Sherman right now, does it seem like you have any idea if he gives a flying fuck about winning or how this team performs? This was the worst comment to date for this ownership. 5 years into a 1.2 billion dollar investment, what do you know about Bruce Sherman? Do you know what Bruce Sherman sounds like? Cause I sure fucking don’t

while this team sucks, going back to 2017 the year before they bought the team, the marlins top 30 prospects is laughable. this is the year after jose. kolek the literal worst #2 pick in MLB history was 2 after braxton garrett, Anderson 3rd, jarlin the marlin 4th, dillon peters 5th, isael soto, thomas jones, and stone garett next, steckenrider and james nelson next. this farm system was horrible. they just need to make the next moves to get it from great farm system to good actual team.

Its a shame I didn't win that PowerBall. I was going to buy the Marlins and bring the F back.Amy Adams, AKA Cinnamon MuffLogan Morrison: "If baseball didn't exist, I would probably be ... like a curler. Or a hairstylist."

Ozuna for Garcia is a no brainer. Off the field stuff aside, he’s a significantly better player and his last year is a club option just like Garcia. More stupidity.
could have traded Pablo and Garcia for Ozuna, lux, and pages/Busch/Vargas. Another failure to pull the trigger setting is back. Complete incompetence. I mentioned lux yesterday as a guy they should be going after. Lux was the #1 prospect in baseball, cheap for years to come, and has been good in the big league. Him and Jazz can be your middle infield for years to come, plus you might have been able to get a busch or vargas.
This is what we're looking at next year with those moves
C- Fortes
1b- Lewin
2b- Jazz
SS- Lux
3b- Vargas/Busch
LF- Ozuna
CF- Bleday
RF- Soler? or Sanchez
DH- Cooper
SP- Sandy, Eury, Cabrera, Rogers, Luzardo, plus sixto, garrett, and eder as other options.
That is a such an improvement. Just such incompetence. If that was the offers available and they didn't do it, this team is doomed due to awful management.

They deal should have been Pages, Vargas, Amaya, and Outman. If - IF - they would have done something like that. Which is sounds like thy would have not.

It wasn’t that the Dodgers were offering than and Miami said no. And if Lux was in the deal, I don’t see any way another one of their top prospects were in it as well. That would be way more than what the market appeared to be for a good SP.
Dodgers have a real 40 man crunch coming so some guys will be able to get traded for with them for lower A ball prospects.

Aguilar sucks.
Cooper they got a lot of action and didn't like the deals. Also do they need him as do we know if Lewin can start next year?
Berti/Anderson injuries obviously impact them
Maybe Wendle/Rojas is their SS plan for next year? We don't know. It's also a fine one if they upgrade elsewhere as that's a good platoon for $11m and 2 roster spots.
So we're at Floro/Okert/Bleier. YES they should have tried working these guys. They could have probably lived without one more to try and get some sort of "Outman" level backup OF type. But, everyone has control so its not a rush.
Calm down.

Pages/Vargas/Amaya/Outman would have been awesome if - IF - they would do it for Pablo, pick an infielder, and pick a non-Bass/Pop/Bender/Poteet/Scott reliever. You'd live with the potentially wonky defense as those first two might really hit, and those second two could be preferred backup/platoon guys. But we'll never know. So let's not get made at trades we have no knowledge about.

As horribly awful as some of the trades in Marlins history have been (and there have been a lot), the Ozuna trade that netted us Sandy and Gallen has been such an incredibly good one. Ending up with a Cy Young pitcher and one of the best players at his position when it’s all said and done, for a good, but not great OF should be a franchise changer. It’s too bad they dropped the ball so much elsewhere.
It also really sucks that Stanton held us for ransom (or that they let him), or they would also have Brian Reynolds.
