Jeter also apparently said Avisail can be the CF and they want another OF but doesn't have to be CF. Not a huge fan of that plan.

But if I'm wrong and they are OK with a Garcia/DLC/I guess Berti platoon in CF, holy smokes. Get Jazz out there even if it's comical to hope for the best, and play Wendle in the IF.

I don't know, they spent the entirety of 2021 trying to make Burdick and Bleday into Center Fielders. Not that I think they were wrong to, but I'm seeing a pattern of this FO believing you don't necessarily need a burner out there in center.

$12 per year, and then $5/$12 in 2026
This makes it a bit better to spread out some cash into a 5th year, and if he's good, you have him for another

Also since I was on the page.... Brandon Marsh - Barrels (77%) Exit Velocity (92%), Sweet Spot (99%), Hard Hit (93%). We obviously can hate on his .403 BABIP and 35% K rate from 2021, but he was a rookie and is blasting things he hits. Major upside here, but I mean we know that being a top 20 overall prospect. They should be looking how to get him, and then combine him with a veteran FA to ease him in.

I like the idea of Ketel to eventually move him to the IF (I believe in his bat), or go get a Marsh type prospect who profiles as a plus defender and can hit and hope for the best. Pablo Lopez/Max Meyer are really good. Someone has this player somewhere for those arms.
Or, think outside the box - Cleveland likely is going to suck and Myles Straw was awesome last year. The Marlins definitely have prospects to get him. It's not the banger some of you want, but he's pretty good, versatile for the future, and if you combined him with say not trading Pablo (big), signing Schwarber to DH, and jettisoning Cooper for a reliever arm, that team definitely makes sense on paper.
