You’d have to think Mattingly gets fired soon, right? I mean who knows with this owner as there have been multiple times when it felt like it was coming. But things are embarrassingly bad right now, and while it’s not all (or even mostly, probably) his fault, he’s certainly not doing a good job, and won’t be back next year anyway. Might as well use him as the fall guy/shakeup that the organization needs right now.

But a 34 inning scoreless streak seems like a no brainer to shake things up.

Said we've got a bunch of "the same guys in the lineup". Basically power guys who haven't hit for power. lol

just go give up the farm for soto and see if him and sandy and jazz can carry you for a few years. if you're not in contention at the deadline of the year he is to become a free agent, deal him to recoup the prospects.
Eury, Rogers, Watson, Cabrera, Salas/Lewis,

kind of glad they are shitting the bed against these terrible teams. this team is not a piece away from contending unless that piece is a superstar. to go out and give up pieces on the farm for stop gap players who will likely regress with us is not the move. Trade the ancillary pieces as well as pablo and just go all in on bats from other teams and try to figure out how to find some productive pieces that you can pair with the pitching and jazz.
Id be cool dealing cooper, Anderson, rojas, soler, and though no one will take him, obviously garcia. Give up bass and other bullpen arms too if you can get a upper minors level prospect.

(Although this organization is not trading Captain Rojas, and they should probably keep Soler as the statcast says the dingers are coming so he can still be a big asset.)
I'd move for sure:
Centerpieces
Pablo
Cabrera (or perhaps Meyer or Rogers or Eder or Fulton depending on the target)
Great 2nd/3rd pieces
Anderson
Cooper or Lewin
Wendle (or Rojas if I am wrong about them not moving him)
Bass
Berti
Okert
and Bleier if someone takes his contract
(If a real overpay, Stallings and Soler can be added)
Throw ins
Sulser
Floro
Aguilar (eat salary to get anything)
Any quantity of prospects outside Marlins top 20
(Obviously Garcia if someone would take him, but not in a prospect dump scenario)
Roll out:
Fortes, Stallings
Lewin/Cooper
Jazz
Rojas, ______
_____, Williams
Bleday
_____, Sanchez
Garcia
Soler
Sandy, Luzardo, Meyer, Rogers, Garrett
_____, Bender, Pop, Poteet, Hernandez
Scott, ______, Castano/Nardi
That's roughly $52m with Lewin and $56m with Cooper, take your pick.
If we assume three blank lines are massive club controlled players as trading all of that above should easily do that, a $22.5m Nimmo/Swanson easily fits in under $80m and now we're talking 4th SP/major RP upgrades and that's likely it. That can probably be done under $90m, especially if it's Lewin not Cooper. Also can dip into farm further for another luxury upgrade as they could put together another good 3 prospect package (something like Salas/Watson, Burdick/Lewis/Cappe/Fulton, and Reynolds/Soriano/Fitterer) and that probably gets a pretty good arm upgrade somewhere as a FV50, FV45, and FV40 prospect package is very decent.
It is lacking to be a true contender in 2023 for sure so maybe this is "wasting" a Sandy year.... but if it's 3 big prospects in those trades (call it Gorman, K. Lewis, and N.Marte as mused above) and then we add Eury, Berry, Eder, and Sixto on top of that next year minimum, it starts getting VERY interesting to me very quickly.
Also Bruce could, you know, go to $115m and drop Trea Turner on top of this and now it's a legit contender. We can dream.

Blast out those dudes I mentioned above. Do it now. Who cares.
This is $52 million which is nothing.
Fortes, Stallings
Lewin
Jazz
Rojas, ______
_____, Williams (---> Berry)
Bleday
_____, Sanchez
Garcia
Soler
Sandy, Luzardo, Meyer, Rogers/Garrett, _______ (---> Eury, Eder, Sixto)

Scott, Rogers/Garrett, Castano/Nardi/____
And doesn't include trade assets for moving Pablo/Cabrera/an entire IF(!) of Cooper-Berti-Wendle-Anderson/Bass/Relievers. That plus at least $25m to spend (hopefully more) has to be able to field those 5-6 blank lines. 3 epic bats, an innings eater while we wait for Eury/Eder/Sixto, and luxury relievers.
No excuses. You're good at finding pitching. Sacrifice it for longterm bats and then do what you do - find pitching.
Basically do what you should have done this last offseason.
