Nunez is cheaper, controlled for one more year then Capps, and having similar years so far. So if capps can net ramos, then i assume nunez would get us ramos and other prospect

Man the twins just set the market for premium closers at a very high price (1 Top Prospect), and nunez IMO is better than capps, he has better era, WHIP, FIP, h/9 k/9, bb/9, and hr/9 rate. Also add the control for a 2.5 more years.

If we can get a similar or even better package, should we trade him?

No because I don't trust any of our potential in-house replacements. This is the first time since, well 2003? That we've had a good closer for more than a year.

It's hard to say. We finally have our closer locked down, it would suck to have to go through last years process again next year. It all depends on what Beinfest wants to do with the team come saturday, I mean, for us to make the playoffs we would have to win 40 of the next 60 atleast. If Beinfest thinks that is possible, then keep nunez, if not, then hell yeah, lets get a package for him. The only thing I would want is some prospects that will help us next year, I don't want to think 2-3 years from now.

I believe they got a second prospect as well. If Nunez can pull in more then Capps then gotta be interesting to see what we could get.
