  • How does that guy writing that article have a Job? I don't think anything that he posted was accurate. Dave Dombrowski as the GM? lol Nate Robertson being owed 10 Mil? Come on... atleast do a LITTLE research when writing an article for a website like cbs sports.

    • I know a couple of people who work for CBS Sports and they are massive pot heads, and from what it sounds like, they aren't in the minority.

Do with this information what you will.

      • I also know a kid who works for CBSSports in Fort Lauderdale, and while he's a good guy I wouldn't trust him to contribute to a thank you note, let alone an actual published article.

            • The Yankees and Marlins have talked about a deal for Cody Ross, but the price 10 days before the trading deadline is too rich for the Yankees, an industry source said. “They are asking a lot for him,” a source said of the 29-year-old Ross, a right-handed-hitting outfielder batting .280 with seven homers and 46 RBIs. The Marlins also have talked to the Braves about Ross and asked for lefty reliever Mike Dunn, a former Yankee who was part of the Javier Vazquez trade last winter. Ross makes $4.45 million this year and will be arbitration eligible next season.

Mike fucking Dunn is too much for Cody Ross? Really?

When he is viewed as a bench player that will be non tendered by most teams. It might be a possibility.

                  • Why is cody viewed as a 4th outfielder by other teams? He has been a pretty solid starter for us the past 3 years.

Maybe because of his streakiness at the plate ?

The only teams who would be looking to add him at this time of year are contenders. And a stat line like that is a 4th OF on a contender

                        • I don't see how that stat line from a CF/above average defensive corner OFer is "4th OF" for a contender. That's an above average player.

He would start in CF for the Yankees with that line and his defense.

He could start at CF, RF, or DH for the Rays.

CF or LF for the Red Sox.

LF or DH for the White Sox.

                              CF for the Twins.

                              CF for the Rangers.

Those are just the AL Contenders.

                              • Well, let those teams know that then.

Probably has something to do with the .734 ops he's putting up this season.
