The Yankees and Marlins have talked about a deal for Cody Ross, but the price 10 days before the trading deadline is too rich for the Yankees, an industry source said. “They are asking a lot for him,” a source said of the 29-year-old Ross, a right-handed-hitting outfielder batting .280 with seven homers and 46 RBIs. The Marlins also have talked to the Braves about Ross and asked for lefty reliever Mike Dunn, a former Yankee who was part of the Javier Vazquez trade last winter. Ross makes $4.45 million this year and will be arbitration eligible next season.
Mike fucking Dunn is too much for Cody Ross? Really?Originally posted by Madman81Most of the people in the world being dumb is not a requirement for you to be among their ranks.

Why is cody viewed as a 4th outfielder by other teams? He has been a pretty solid starter for us the past 3 years.Originally posted by Matt WilsonFish and Chips just became the smartest man on the board

The only teams who would be looking to add him at this time of year are contenders. And a stat line like that is a 4th OF on a contender
He could start at CF, RF, or DH for the Rays.
CF or LF for the Red Sox.
LF or DH for the White Sox.
CF for the Twins.
CF for the Rangers.
Those are just the AL Contenders.poop
