Now that this has set in a little, this is completely and utterly retarded. We've won two games in a row, 3 out of our last 4 and we just score 10 runs with everyone in the lineup getting a hit so we fire the entire coaching staff minus the pitching coaches and the guys that coach the defense (both of which have been huge problems minus the starting rotation) in the middle of a road series after we just had a day off at home? That is completely, totally and in all other ways retarded!

When I mean blow the team up I mean Ross,Uggla,Helms,Robertson,Nunez,Cantu(All the older guys) will all be on the block and they will let Rodriguez manage till the end of the season. Then they will look for new manager

Dateline Baltimore. Hmmm, wonder if Marlins did this now after hearing Bobby Valentine was in line to get the Orioles job?

But if youre going to blow it up, why not jut blow it up? How much does Colorado give you for Uggla and Nunez? You get 5 awesome young guys, and all you need to replace them with is moving Coghlan, Matt Dominguez developing, and 60 innings. Leo is a luxury. I get it, even though Id just wait one more year.
But we'll see. I suspect they wait until July 28 so its all speculation until then. MLB is probably already on the phone telling them they better not be pulling some shenanigans.

Bernardino is right. The reason we fired Fredi is because Bobby Valentine was set to take the Baltimore job however he might wait now and wait to hear what we gott say
IF we get Valentine, everyone is staying and we are gonna be buyers. However if he decides to go to Baltimore then we are going to blow the team up and start over next year
--------------------
We will build around Johnson,Ramirez,Stanton,Coghlan,Morrison pretty much everyone else could be had

Uncomfortable atmosphere here in lobby of the Baltimore Hilton, the Marlins’ team hotel. Players walking around in shock, punching their iPhones.
But manager Fredi Gonzalez is putting on his best face — yes, he was smiling when we shook hands to say good-bye.
“What are you going to do?” he said about his reaction to being fired.
Fredi said he’ll talk to reporters tomorrow. He was escorting his parents — who are in town with him — to the airport. He did say he had no spoken today with owner Jeffrey Loria.
Still early to speculate on this but Bobby Valentine comes to mind as a replacement candidate for Fredi.
Remember that Bobby spoke with Jeffrey Loria as early as last May –when the Marlins had that horrible month — about the idea of managing the Marlins.
Valentine’s name surfaced again at the end of last season when Gonzalez was nearly fired for missing the playoffs — despite leading the team to a franchise-record 87 wins.
Valentine was in Baltimore recently, interviewing for the Orioles opening. But he has said he is not interested in the Baltimore job.
“Crazy,” pitcher Chris Volstad said, shaking his head as he walked though the lobby.

I just really don't want to see them blow the team up.

Also, from the comments I've read in response to this on the various websites, most of the reactions have been negative. Very few people have come put supporting the FO. Most people are supporting Fredi.

I don't think even if they "blow it up" it would be the same kind of rebuilding as in the past where we become a 90-100 loss team for the next couple of years. They are going to get rid of guys who are most likely gone at the end of the year. If they aren't going to contend for a playoff spot I would honestly rather they get something in return for guys that don't really project to be here when the new stadium opens.
Ross, Cantu, Nate Rob, possibly Uggla... if they can get some young pieces for them and they are out of it I wouldn't be too sad.

doubt they'd blow the team up this early, it'll be another month if they do it
however i'm not really sure why you'd want to spite the FO for the hell of it when it means your team might suffer. that's like predicting that a top prospect will fail in the majors and then gloating about it when he sucks and gets sent down to the minors.

My concern has less to do with them "blowing up the team" but more to do with how they conduct themselves and how they make their decisions. They don't deserve to be rewarded by getting what they want for conducting themselves in this manner.
