The Reds are said to be in on Bell... Let's flip Bell/Hermida for Harang ( he's supposedly being shopped )

    Johnson, Nolasco, Harang, Volstad, RVH

    Maybin
    Coghlan
    Hanley
    Gonzo
    Cantu
    Uggla
    Cody
    Bake

    Yes, please.

I still don't see why the Reds are "in" on anybody. They have absolutely no shot at winning anything this season and they already have their closer in Cordero. Makes no sense.

If we got Adrian Gonzalez I would do oh so many things.

A back to back of Hanley and Adrian Gonzalez instantly makes this lineup one of the best in the league, if only because it shifts everyone down to a better spot and could conceivably cover up for Bonifacio's inabilities (I still think he would be the uber-super sub that would fit in perfectly for this team).

Marlins In Serious Talks For Heath Bell
By Tim Dierkes [July 30, 2009 at 11:12am CST]

Via Twitter, SI's Jon Heyman tells us the Marlins are "in serious talks with the Padres for Heath Bell." Heyman says it looks like it could be Andrew Miller or Sean West. Either young lefty seems like a solid return for the Padres' closer.

I really hope they are looking to add A-Gon.

So let me get this strait

We have very little ML ready SP options.

We have an abundance of ML ready RP options.

And we are then going to trade a SP for a RP?

Have you fucks not heard "trade from strength to improve your weakness"???

in WHAT parallel FUCKING universe do you FUCKING trade your FUCKING weakness for your FUCKING strength

Shit. If you're going to do it Larry, do it. Offer up Morrison/Miller or West/pick two lower specs like Sanabia and Smolinski and get Gonzo and Bell over here.

Or let's go for V-mart, the Indians are bent on trading him before tomorrow's end.

That could get it done, to be honest.

I don't mean to sound like an asshole, for real, but who are you to say "to be honest" about that? I would leave that to the GM on the other side if he were to receive that offer.

/I am not an asshole at trade deadline time, it just seems like it
