  • They can't market Prince the same way they would be able to with Albert.

    • And Boras wants damn near what Pujols is getting. I wouldn't waste the time. Get the pitching addressed.

      • Right, but seeing as there is (what seems like) little to no market for him, we can get him "cheap"

If albert stays in stl, marlins would look at prince, buehrle, wilson. In mix for fielder, a floridian: sea, tor, cubs, tex, bal, mil
seems like a market to me

You don't get any Boras client "cheap".

            • Yeah, that's also very true.

We need pitching. If we're not getting Pujols, get the pitching.

Pure dollar figure not only factor in Pujols financial offers. Deferrals, structure, lack of state tax in FLA all part of it. #MLB

#Marlins say they have made their final offer to Pujols. Additional meeting with Lozano possible, however. #MLB
There, hopefully this is resolved soon. If we get him great, if not then get to work on other options.

I'm glad they're finally putting their foot down.

Opening day next year...either Pujols gets huge standing ovation for 20 minutes, or gets boo'ed out of Miami.

#Cardinals are like great WR if even with CB, they're leaving. #Marlins r CB and just can't be even to get Pujols. Must standout and haven't

                          • Oh yeah, because potential ownership down the road doesn't really standout.

                            • Why would Pujols want to lose money every year!

Feeling is, with offers both $200-220M, cardinals favored for pujols. #marlins are making great try but eyeing other options now, in case
