Sixto, Caleb, Pablo, Sandy, Gallen, Neidert, Cabrera, Garrett, and Rogers go nowhere.

If they sign Cole/Wheeler, you can trade 1 of the above.

They can trade Urena, Richards, Yamamoto, Dugger, Poteet, etc.

They need their arms and can trade the top group in 1-2 years if they all develop.

      • Marlins are getting really screwed today with some unfortunate infield singles on shifts and some real bad called strikes. That Anderson whiff with the bases loaded was terrible. Oh well. Helps the draft picks.`

For those not watching - Chen is really terrible

With your dad at the ball game ... sleeping or not ... you'll always remember that.

Only way Caleb or Sandy go is if its for big time bat like Tucker,Frazier NOT a prospect like Brujan(even tho I like him alot)

Richards is most likely to go at deadline and Urena is gonna be shopped at winter meetings(if nothing don't be surprised to see him as our CL next year). Dugger,Poteet,Will Stewart have to be on 40 Man so Miami has decisions to make on them

Been reported lots already but our pen is getting TONS of calls. Romo,Tayron,Jarlin,Anderson,Brice,Conley,Tyler Kinley have all gotten calls and Miami has considered dealing as many as possible!! High price on Anderson and Tayron but others pretty reasonable I have heard. Reason is they have guys in AAA who they want to get a look at

Example is IF they trade Austin Brice they have Jordan Milbrath in AAA who throws the same exact way so if they get a 2 or 3 thing package for Brice he could be gone!!. OAKLAND has been hot after Brice who Billy Beane sees Chad Bradford in(Moneyball fans). Have scouted Miami a few times

When I say 2 or 3 "thing" package I dont mean we are getting 3 TOP prospects for guys I mean like the Phelps trade from few years ago. 1 guy like Top 20,1 AA RP and IFA $ or some DSL prospect

They should keep Anderson, Elisier, Steck, and Garcia. That’s the beginning of the future pen. They can move the rest. Brice is almost in that category. Who cares about Guerrero. They have 40 man space so none of that is going to matter for 2020.

Urena is interesting as a closer. Deflecting saves arbitration would be huge for the young relievers.

I wasn’t at the game but I’ll answer for him.

                      Yes.

                      • Alcantara is the right starter to trade if another team values him as highly as most on this forum. The huge WHIP just won't go away ... it's consistent as the S Florida sun.

                        • i'd hate the idea of trading richards. Not because i think he is a great SP, but because I dont think the value we would get for him would be anything close to the value he could provide out of the bullpen for the next few years. We wouldnt get anything special for him, and his changeup out of the bullpen would be an amazing weapon. He is the type of guy who if we trade will eventually find himself in the back end of someones bullpen. Lets let that be our team for a change. I know we have good pitching depth and some good bullpen options who will become available to us from our system in the next few years, but put richards along with Elieser in the back end of our pen and have them create some trade value for themselves, which i think they would with their offspeed stuff out of the pen.

Realistically, we wont get much for richards as a back end of the rotation guy in a trade right now.

Elieser and Steck are staying. Anderson and Garcia likely are too-they have higher prices on them both

They will probably look to trade Urena at Winter Meetings but if they dont get what they want the CL is possible. No DD non tender situation

I kinda agree with this. Like I've said I'd listen to offers on any of our pitchers, but for me to make a deal I'd need a team to blow me away with a top prospect offer, and that's more likely to happen with Sandy or Caleb. Honestly I'd be surprised if we deal any starting pitching by the deadline, just doesn't make a lot of sense for us, and I don't think teams will be willing to part with what it would take.

Homer Bailey just brought back a Top 20 Prospect so will get more than expected. Right now for Miami its what bats can they get? If Houston offers Kyle Tucker u might see Caleb or Sandy traded same with NYY and Frazier. If Minnesota/TB offer some Solid Bat,prospect,IFA could see Richards traded

They arent calling around offering the SP(like others) but are listening

Not saying they are offering but what if LAD calls on Richards and says Jeter Downs or some bat Miami likes and more OR TB says Lucious Fox and McClanhan and more? I agree for Sandy or Caleb u need to be blown away BUT Richards is someone u could get some nice pieces for(Not Tucker or Frazier but not crap either)

TB,Oak,Minnesota,NYY,Philly,Milwaukee have been most aggressive with us right now. I would love to get into TB's system and they have a terrible roster crunch so u might even be able to swing more out of them(trade prospect who doesn't need to be on 40 man in 2020 for someone who does)
