What’s our individual record for hits in a game? Probably 6 right?

Did the 10-run reel on the broadcast leave with Waltz?

          Small sample sizes are fun.

4 PA ago - Cooper .760 OPS on the season

          4 PA later - Cooper .860 OPS. .293/.372/.488.

First team since 1974 to have an inning where every player in the lineup had an rbi. I love obscure shit like that.

that is a fantastic stat. Also id have thought it was a much longer time since that has happened.

Brigham looks like someone who should be in the back end of our pen.

1997 according to MLB Network FS Florida may have lied to us.

I thought checking ESPN the score was a joke but damn they actually won 16-0.

Garrett Cooper has been red hot for a couple weeks now. Hits in 9 of his last 11 games. Not saying he's an MLB player now but he's helped the Marlins in their recent run.

Starting pitching has been good enough all season that the Marlins literally just had to not play like the worst offense in major league history to start winning games. It has also helped that the 28th ranked bullpen in baseball has been putting up 0's recently.

Team really does need to just let go of Granderson and let Austin Dean play everyday. With Alfaro playing as an above average hitting catcher atm, and with the expectation that Anderson and Castro are better than their current production, the team has some groundwork to grow...but they desperately need to unload some of the old baggage off the squad.

And yeah Harold Ramirez is big. Top 10 team prospect for the Blue Jays let go was pretty surprising, so give credit to the Marlins front office for paying attention and realizing the team's mistake and capitalizing on it. Those are the kind of moves that slowly creep a team with no future into a contender down the road.

that's even more surprising. Everyone with a hit in an inning is one thing, but everyone with an RBI in an inning to me seems pretty unique but what the hell do i know

austin dean has been terrible. If you want to complain about granderson playing, fine, but dean has done nothing to deserve any playing time. And i was calling for his promotion a few weeks ago. He seems to just be a AAAA player that cant cut it at the majors because he lacks power and the hit tool isnt anything special when he's facing actual major leaguers as opposed to AAA arms.

I am cool with Austin Dean on 40 man as AAAA player. He is exactly the type of player a good team needs-can stash him in AAA but if someone hurt can PH and play 1B for u. Remember we are building towards 2021

Craziest thing about all of this is the pen has looked like crap and bats are still not great. SP is what is carrying this team and we have TONS more just waiting in AAA-Hi A

They really need to start shopping Urena/Romo and either move Elieser or Gallen up. Dont wait till June 29

                            Austin Dean has been terrible.

                            AAA this season

                            Austin Dean
                            LF 33 115 23 42 10 0 8 30 76 17 18 4 2 .447 .661 .365 1.108
                            Harold Ramirez
                            RF 31 110 19 39 12 1 4 14 65 6 19 1 1 .408 .591 .355 .999

That's why Dean deserves an extended look.

And yet again, Lee Stone neglects to take into account that it was Deans second year in AAA and Ramirez is over a year younger than him. Oh, and he's actually produced and not been a complete negative player when actually given an opportunity. He's the definition of a AAAA player. His ceiling is a decent 4th outfielder

I'd still rather Dean be getting PT over Granderson. We're not getting anything for .186 hitting Granderson. Dean has been bad in the majors for sure, but I'd like to see what he could do if they just said for the next 2 months or so, LF is yours every day, let's see what you can do.
