Yeah, great job by our front office...

    • Dean is going back to New Orleans today, according to Mish. After a mere two games, he tied for the team lead in RBI. Over the next three days, he looked like a different hitter ... a non-hitter swinging at everything. After giving away a couple runs with a misplay in RF, his brief joyride was over. Tough to judge a guy with such a small sample, but he looked really bad. I feel his pain. Imagine getting sent out while Herrera, Granderson, Brinson, and Galloway are manning the OF!

Alfaro is about the last guy you'd want to bat fourth ... just a wild hacker. He'll hit a few homers when pitcher makes a mistake and throws a strike, but they have no reason to throw a strike. I'm no so sure about his defense either. He has a huge problem blocking pitches.

Who would have guessed that Nick Anderson, Guerrero, and Kinley would be our best relievers?

No one, and that is exceptionally encouraging. Even FG is getting behind Anderson and Guerrero - https://fantasy.fangraphs.com/the-10...s-on-the-rise/

Steamer actually has Anderson, Guerrero, Steckenrider, and Romo throwing sub 4 ERAs here on out, and Conley, Brice, and Kinley are "just" above 4s which is also pretty solid. That's pretty great if it happens. They are going to have to promote Gallen after the Super 2 deadline if this keeps up, and they have plenty of other juice with Neidert, Milbrath (dealing in AA right now), Quijada, Garcia, etc. to fill out the squad.

Hopefully everyone settles in and Romo, Steckenrider, and Conley start turning into some projectable bats. Looks like they need quite a few.

            • Alfaro has that skills to get HBP. Sort of like Dietrich had. Has 3 this season already and had 14 last year. And it goes back to his time in the minors too. That’ll help his obp.

Well the win streak couldn't last.....2 games ....we needn't get greedy I guess. Another shutout...that's 7 in 24 games. But it's a process......

Good news we are still position to get the #1 pick in 2020

                  • What will Brinson do in the minor leagues that he has not already done in the minor leagues?

And I don’t buy the “he just needs a reset” for a month.

I really like the guy and want nothing more than for him to succeed.

Leave him with the Marlins. If he hasn’t figured it out by the All Star break you’ll know he is a bust.

The Brewers didn’t like what they saw in him in his 50 or so AB’s with the big club.

The other side of that coin is this: What did Brinson really accomplish in the minors? His "breakout" year was at Colorado Springs. Garrett Cooper played on that team with Brinson and hit even better. Many applied the bust label to Brinson nearly a year ago - and he was actually hitting far better then than now. Simply put, he doesn't seem to have a clue at the plate. On the bright side, Monte Harrison has his average up to around .350 all the sudden.

She is awesome and the promotion to tv regular is well earned.

.481 BABIP so that is not real at all, but he has doubled his BB rate to 14.3% and lowered his strikeout 10% to 26.5%.

I believe peripherals stabilize around 110-120 PA so let's see where that lands in June. Hopefully this is a meteoric step forward even if the bottom drops out of the average.

                          • I guess the solution to the Brinson problem is to not play him.

                            • Marlins were over a 2/1 dog on the road tonight.

                              Nice win by the Fish.
