JT Riddle is being sent down, sources say.

The shortstop was struggling, hitting .156 #Marlins

    • Gonna be brinson I think and jarlin is coming up too

        • Riddle has been a big time disappointment. Really had an opportunity to cement himself in the big leagues, in what looked like would be a platoon with Rojas, looks like he missed that opportunity.

          • The Marlins today selected the contract of OF Isaac Galloway (#79) from Triple-A New Orleans and recalled LHP Jarlin Garcia (#66) from NOLA; the club also optioned INF JT Riddle to NOLA and will have a corresponding move for Garcia prior to the game.

Brice is not in the lineup... Maybe him to the 60 day IL?

Galloway is not in the 40 man roster. So idk

Apparently the 40 man was at 39, so they don't have to remove anyone.

The negatives are obviously they can't keep running Chen out there like this it's not fair to anyone. It also seemsl like a full reset for Lew Brinson is needed. 1-17 with 11 K smells like 2018 again. Send him to the best hitting coach they have in AA or AAA and help him.

Agree with Mish. Brinson's approach is fully messed up. Trying to yank/pull everything. And his defense has always seemed borderline. He's the only pro CF that doesn't catch the towering McCutchen can o' corn in the 14th.

If you believe in rewarding achievement, Isaac Galloway is a viable option to Brinson (or Herrera) right now. He's hitting homers and doubles and stealing bases.

                What? Galloway? Yes, Galloway
                .
                Why the heck not?

                        • Well .222 winning %, looks like I might have been a year off on my prediction. Another shutout last night, as the Marlins lead MLB in that category, also have the lowest attendance, 2nd lowest RBI total, 4th lowest in BB's, 5th highest K's, 21st in SB, 26th in OBS, 27th in slugging %.

I know we have to be bad, but THIS bad ? And not really much help in the minors, as none of them look like there is much hitting help down there.

Baby Cakes in last place, 5-6 record
Jumbo Shrimp in 4th place, 5-7 record
Jupiter Hammerheads in 5th place, 6-6 record
Clinton in 5th place, 5-6 record

Not one single minor league team with a winning record....no players truly dominating.

7 minor league affiliates including the 2 rookie league teams, meanwhile most MLB teams have at least 9 if not 10. Being CHEAP again ? So giving yourself less people to work with, and less chances to develop. Isn't this when you would want THE MOST ?????

Sustainability guys listen to Jeter's words, not winning but sustainability.....looking for the national contracts to keep on delivering and I am guessing a HUGE luxury tax check every year.

Until I looked I purchased the MiLB.TV package and looked at the sparcity of the affiliates compared to other franchises I didn't realize it was this bad.....

Oh and this.......Yelich chasing Gehrig record......

Minor leagues have same issue as ML team. Can't score which is why they need to keep going hard after bats in draft/trades

No players dominating? Should look at Jupiter SP's and Gallen/Elieser/Roberson/Vallimont

U might be the only 1 who thought they would be better-been saying since NOV what goals were this year and not one goal was to win. They want a Top 3 Pick in 2020 draft, find guys who will be on the 2020 roster and who is gone, get vets to trade for prospects and see if Trey Hillman can be the Manager

                            2019 Top 5 Pick
                            2020 Top 3 Pick
2021 3-10 Pick(Young guys in ML and 40-60 million to spend for 2020 season which means won't be great but wanna improve)

                            Is exactly what they want

                            • Miami actually went from having NO pitching to wayy to much

                              2020
                              ML-Pablo,Richards,Smith,Sandy,Gallen,Urena
                              AAA-Neidert,Elieser,Guzman,Yamamoto,Dugger,Sixto,Beggs (for Lee)
                              AA-Garrett,Stewart,Holloway,Cabrera,Rogers,Roberson,P uckett
                              Hi A-Vallimont,Soriano,Guerrero,2019 Pick
                              Lo A-Givin,Palacios,Bennett

Plus guys we could get in trades/draft. We also have so many RP that we have guys in Lo A who could be in AA easily and guys in Ex ST who could be solid

Most are #3-5 right now OR RP but that is alot of pitching. 2 years ago we had NO depth and were pitching 26 yr olds in A Ball

Something to watch is we have 5.5 million to spend in IFA(Cubans?/trades) and about 8-10 guys on trade block which means we can add even more depth. 2020 is the first year we will be players in 16 yr old IFA market

                              • Remember Yolbert Sanchez is still on the market. If he is around July 2 I would be surprised to see us all over him as his "agent" says 2 million dollar offer on table

Sanchez is a 22 yr old Hech type SS who is a Mesa Brothers friend. Would be signed put in GCL and then Jupiter or Jax to end year
