funny part about the game being at 6 instead of 7: i drive home from work around 5-5:30 on the 836 (or 826, whichever is next to the stadium, i get them confused) and traffic was much lighter going back east than it normally was. So im guessing todays crowd wont likely be a sellout.

Has a team ever had an "ace" who is significantly worse than literally everyone else in the rotation like this?

I have a remarkable ability to jinx the fuck out of this team

Our 7-8-9 hitters tonight are Wallach, Herrera, and Richards. Horrendous. Given the surplus of guys we have that can play 3b/ss/1b in Walker, Rojas, Riddle, Prado, and Anderson, I really hope we start moving Anderson to the OF temporarily just to have the lineup improvement of whichever one of those guys is in the lineup over Herrera. Not that this year matters or any of those guys are any part of the future, but those guys all theoretically should be better hitters than herrera. Theres no need to be forcing Herrera into the lineup.
Of course Degrom also homers.

they probably figured it was better to get 7k fans at 6 pm than 2k at noon.

Could probably get a decent bat back for him i would think.

Brinson has looked better to me in recent days than my initial impression for the year but the lack of walks is still concerning. He will never be a high BB% guy but its gotta improve. He has however squared the ball up significantly more this year with a 63.2 hard hit ball percentage and should have had at least 1 and maybe 2 hr's in a different ballpark. Small sample size but would be really encouraging if he can keep that up.
Who are some of the comps if he doesnt improve the walk rate but takes a significant step up in power? Andujar had a similar walk rate and had legit power but he didn't K quite as much.
