Good thing for fish16 that he didn’t make that bet with me about this team being better. This team is easily losing 100+ games this year lol.

Mike Hill on the radio all but said that Brinson's mechanics at the plate are completely broken. Instead of sending him to the minors they're going to continue to let him fail in the majors when even they know there are problems needed to be fixed.

The worst part is he's here because there is literally no backup plan. He batted .199 last year and got 382 at bats. As much as I trashed Jeremy Hermida even he never managed to do that.

I still have no idea how you OBP .240 over nearly a full seasons worth of at bats. The only player who I can ever remember doing that poorly and continuing to get chances is Jeff Francoeur and that is also because he was a top 50 prospect in baseball (with initial major league success tho). I am not even upset. I'm kind of fascinated it.

Honestly, Major League Baseball should consider contraction.

Florida shouldn’t have two teams so just bring the Rays down to Miami. Problem solved.

6,503 in attendance tonight. Safe to say remodeling the stadium doesn’t matter squat and I honestly hope they didn’t expect it too.

Jeter can try to put lipstick on the pig all he wants but at the end of the day it's obvious you're still looking at a pig.
I guess Fish16 won't go after you since you didn't use the "bust" word, but carefully danced around it

Brinson hasn’t had a good start. It’s been two games.

One of his outs tonight was a ball he hit 412 feet.

I’ll take Over 60 for a friendly 2 week ban bet.

I’m in on the friendly 2 week ban bet. I don’t see this team winning more than 60. They won 63 last year and lost their best player.

They also have a significantly improved rotation compared to a year ago

Why? The talent level is nearly the same. There will also be some innings limits to consider with young pitchers in an irrelevant season. As well as the fact that this won’t be the same starting 5 we’ll have all year because there will be an injury or two at some point.

Don’t get me wrong, I think the staff is decent, but they have to be near perfect to win a lot of games anyway. This team hasn’t gotten better from last year, which I guess is irrelevant because their plan starts in 2020 according to tjfla.
