In all seriousness, I couldn’t watch the game tonight so how did Lopez look? Also, the results haven’t been there yet but it seems like brinson has crushed the ball several times and just gotten unlucky

Bad week for the Yelich trade, though.

Lopez looked fine. Good mix of pitches and had some moments where he touched 96 as was reported in Spring Training.
Brinson is averaging a defensive misplay per game, it’d be nice if he stopped that.

Yes, Lopez looked outstanding - and certainly deserved a better fate than three earned runs. I thought 28-year-old rookie Nick Anderson looked great as well, perhaps our best bet as a closer. 88 K's in 60 minor league innings last season. After leading all CF in errors last season, I hoped that Brinson would bring better stuff defensively this season. Sure doesn't look like it. My favorite play of the game: Granderson's RBI bunt off a lefty.

We're recalling O'Brien apparently with a corresponding move on the way

Mish says cooper to the IL. fuck. was hoping for herrera

Lopez has really had issues as he gets deeper into games so it will be interesting to see if he can improve as the year goes on

Genuinely feel awful for Cooper. Can’t catch a break. It’s officially a 10 day DL but there are fears this could be an injury that keeps him out longer. Unclear.

              fuck
Herrera’s not going anywhere. The organization seems to love him. Today, he’s playing LF and leading off.

I rarely agree with you, but you’re right on this one. Nick Anderson looked fantastic last night.

Why isn’t Granderson playing today against a tough righty?
Why is Rosell Herrera hitting 1st?
Why is Lewis Brinson hitting 8th?

I would have dialed Austin Dean's number for the call up. but good luck to O'Brien. He'll need it vs. the Jon Gray velocity.

Chris Paddack ML debut vs SF today. I can't help but follow the young man.

Kidding aside, I think we won’t be horrendous this year because this is a legitimately good rotation. I could see a far at the end of the year but if these 5 are healthy we finally have 5 quality starters in the rotation which is something f we have met been able to say for years and it’s a difference maker. Not saying we’ll be .500 but I just don’t see less
                    Than 65-70 wins

Let's hope Chen doesn't blow this game. Also, Mattingly WOULD NEVER allow Alcantara to finish the game. He did it with Richards, Pablo and now with Alcantara

Absolutely ridiculous that Wei-Yin Chen is coming in to close Alcantara's masterpiece.

Been awhile since I've been this pumped about a Marlin individual performance. Sandy looked dominant. 0 walks!

Chris Paddsck is ridiculous. Can’t take the Marlins serious so long as Mike Hill is still here.
