Don’t get me wrong, I think the staff is decent, but they have to be near perfect to win a lot of games anyway. This team hasn’t gotten better from last year, which I guess is irrelevant because their plan starts in 2020 according to tjfla.
I don't see the pitching staff having the same talent level as last year. Last year we had starts by: Dillion Peters, Heliezer Henandez, Jarlin Garcia, Merendy Gonzales, Odrisamer Despaigne, Jeff Brigham. We have better pitchers this year, and better pitchers on the minors to call up.

Our bullpen started with: Junichi Tazawa, a yucky Ziegler, Chris O'Grady, and Jacob Turner. Towards the end of the season we had: Javy Guerra, Drew Rucinski, Brett Graves, Ben Mayer, Tyler Cloyd. All of them had a +5 ERA.

There's no way that our pitching staff is that bad again.

But yeah, your starting lineup is terrible.

      Starting lineup is worse.

      Bullpen is probably the same.

Pitching Rotation will be better (also remember that we'll almost certainly see Neidert at some point this year, this is the Marlins they have no patience)

All in all I'm calling 64-98 final record.

5.1 WAR total SP last year. Urena, Richards, Smith, Pablo, Sandy - 4.8 WAR in 88 starts

All of them are young and improving so I don't agree about the talent level being the same. I’ll take the way over on 88 starts collectively from them. Another 30-40 starts is going to add up fast.

Let’s say they need 40 more starts (their 6th SP and on last year threw 40). I’ll take Neidert, Gallen, and some Chen spots over Peters, Brigham, Garcia, Elisier, etc.

They could easily double the output from last year if one of them breaks out and the others are all solid 4s. The bar is low.

$5.5 million = the total 2019 cost of Urena, Richards, Lopez, Smith and Alcantara.

Yes really. In both starting talent already in the rotation and depth in case we need to call someone up for injury. Plus no tazawa and Ziegler are automatically an improvement on our bullpen

I’ll bet they finish at or above their record from a year ago

Yeah I'll just piggy back and say the rotation will be better. There's no stars but there's a bunch of low end quality and some quantity.

The lineup is definitely going to need a surprise breakout this year from somebody like J.T. Riddle or Peter O'Brien. It's the only way the lineup becomes respectable.

And that's the problem. It's so bad that if the other team scores 3 runs there is about a 70% chance we lose the game. That's pretty depressing

It’s kind of scary how much the Marlins seem to like Rosell Herrera.

Hey hey, it’s almost as if 2 games isn’t a representative sample size to evaluate the team

It’s kinda funny watching the Rockies, who entered MLB the same year as the Marlins, basically wearing their same uniform/logo/colors from 1993, while the Marlins are on their fourth or fifth look.

Fish win less than 60 games and I’ll take 2 weeks off and if they win more than 60 Erick takes a vacation.

                          Just for fun and friendly.

If the Fish win 75, Erick has to blow fish16.

That part is just a joke.

60 more wins to go, boyssssssss

Because there are no exit ramps between contracting all baseball teams in Florida and We’re gonna be awesome
