Exactly which is why they are really looking at it hard. The offer has been made of Robles/C(No clue which 1)/1 low level prospect(could be arm or young 18 yr old-Garcia/Antuna/Sanchez??) or Robles and 2 low level prospects.

Miami is trying to get them to bump it up to Robles and Kieboom Brothers

IF Miami says NO to Robles and JT declines extension(FO thinks he will ACCEPT) they will get solid offers from Houston/Arizona/Colorado/Oakland BUT nothing like Robles and more

FWIW We have been in Durham scouting Robles past 2 days(Guess checking to make sure elbow is good)

Funny thing about all of this is Washington could have had Realmuto for Robles OR Soto and Severino in Dec. Miami offered it to them. Now they are offering Miami Robles/C and more

Well Realmuto has also improved, big time arguably. I think they go hard for this:

      Was- Realmuto, Barraclough or Conley

Mia - Robles, C. Kieboom, Pick a C-Read/Severino/S. Kieboom, Raquet, and Wieters with at least 50% of payroll

Give them the cherry on top of getting out of some money and a reliever and get both of them. Marlins could stand to have Wieters catch the kids, or ship him out in another deal if someone wants him.

They'll have everything figured out on paper in the field besides catcher and 1B/SS (if Kieboom stays at SS, Anderson 3B, if Kieboom has to go to 3B, he or Anderson to 1B), and still have Straily, Castro, Dietrich, other relievers left to trade.

      • New team in on Straily-Seattle

Teams in on him are Oak,SF,Seattle

Maybe try to get Evan White OR Festa,Iztirus Jr OR another young guy and IFA cash?

Marlins believe Kieboom can stay at SS

        So
        C-?
        1B-?
        2B-Diaz
        SS-Kieboom
        3B-BA
        LF-Robles
        CF-Harrison
        RF-Brinson
        4th-Sierra/Miller

If they do what they want to do at the deadline they also would have

        Victor Victor Mesa
        Catcher-Will Smith/Ruiz/Amaya or Varsho(farther off)

They are trying hard to get a C and IFA $$ in talks with LA,Cubs,Arizona,Atlanta

Wouldn't be surprising to see DD to Clev. Maybe Bobby Bradley and a arm?

How would having Robles alone create an incredible OF?

Lou's entire analysis seems logical. However, I've reade that 2B is Kieboom's future position.

            • NYY have got 2.5 Million in IFA cash in 16 Hrs

Using it on guys they already have commitments(so dont worry about Mesa) from but its not hard to get it IF teams have it which is why we can still get Mesa if we really want him

So do I. I think we will get IFA cash in deals and have more than Baltimore. We need 1.5 million to beat their offer(right now) than next IFA sign Mesa Jr

                  • I like that Miami are trying to get everything they can, but as much as I like JT, I think you pull the trigger on Robles, plus eventually. If you pass on that deal, you could seriously regret that in a few years if Robles becomes a star.

                    • Man, our team if we could sign Victor Victor and get Robles and Kieboom in a JT deal...

C- biggest question mark but we'd probably get a C in a barraclough deal like a Will Smith
                      1b- Bour
                      2b- Diaz
                      SS- Kieboom
                      3b- Anderson
                      LF- Brinson
                      CF- Robles
                      RF- Monte/Victor Victor

Prospect depth- Brian Miller, Sierra, Connor scott in a few years, Devers, Banfield, Pompey, Osiris Johnson, Chris Torres, Dean.

Then you have a ton of SP options who might not be aces but will likely pan out with 5 solid MLB quality starters and another bunch of guys who have floors of dominant relievers. Will take time to come along, but year 1 of a rebuild is looking very very good if we can make the most of this deadline. The next few days are absolutely enormous for the franchise.

Ya, Robles is an absolute animal. He hasnt shown significant power in the minors but it will come with further development. He is a true 5 tool player.

Also, I think we will still end up turning out good with the Yelich trade, but if we could have had an OF of yelich, Victor Victor, and Robles that would have been something to see. Yelich is having a phenomenal year and is on fire.

Well the offer is on the table. Just not as much as Miami wants which means someone has to blink

I am with u tho. Take Robles,Whatever C u like(Read,Severino,Reetz,Gushue) and try for 2 low level prospects(UT Jose Sanchez/SP Alastrae) that have talent

I would consider a compromise of Robles and a lesser but still highly rated MI prospect in Luis Garcia, and 2 more guys we like. Im not a fan of any of their catchers really.

                            That works too. Robles,Garcia and a C.

I dont like their catchers either but I could see us get Severino or Read because ML ready. Rather have 1 of them as a backup than Wallach next year

Id honestly take Wieters for the rest of the year at whatever the rest of his salary is if it gets us more and then grab a long term catcher in a Conley or Barraclough or dietrich trade. They wouldnt really have a need for him and we have nothing in terms of catchers in the system that are ML ready for the rest of the year.
