I hadn't seen that. So this'll probably be the largest attendance game this year then haha.

    • Tazawa......again ?

      • Tazawa is so laughably bad. They can’t keep him on this team anymore

        • He just called Tazawa Maeda.

          • He’s got a 9 ERA. This has to be it, right?

            • We have a pitcher who has appeared in over half our games that has a 9 ERA and 2+ WHIP.

The fact that he has even appeared in that many games is ridiculous. At least save him from pitching constantly like they’ve done with cloyd who almost never pitches aside from blowouts. Bring up Gallen and Richards and lit Gallen in the rotation for Chen and bring Richards and Chen in the bullpen to replace tazawa and cloyd

It's time to make the Realmuto move from my perspective. I have read that the Gnats won't trade Robles or Soto, but there are multiple future starters that should intrigue the Marlins. Carter Kieboom could become a power-hitting SS. Raudy Read a solid C when his 80-game suspension ends. Daniel Johnson one of those desirable 20-20 guys with a plus arm in the OF. Maybe another young IF or P prospect. Come mid-summer, Kieboom will be at the front end of prospect list.

                  • Despaigne now on a rehab assignment...I wonder if Tazawa goes when he's ready. Though Cloyd is certainly another possibility.

Brett Graves also on rehab and he has to be on ML Roster

I would take an offer from Minnesota of Nick Gordon,Stephen Gonsalves,Akil Baddoo plus 1/2 others for JT and a pitcher

Gordon can stick at SS while Kieboom is likely a 2B/3B,Gonsalves is better than any arm Washington has,Baddoo is a solid young OF prospect and best of all is JT is in the AL

If Minnesota or Toronto really wanted JT they could beat any Washington offer pretty easily

I don't know...If I'm trading maybe the best young catcher in baseball (with years left of control no less), especially inside the division where I have to face him 19 times a year, I either get Robles or Soto or I trade him somewhere else who will give me what I want. I'm not willing to settle for maybe their 3rd best prospect.

Ya if they were the only team then maybe but u have Minnesota,NYM,Toronto,Houston(and likely others before JUly) all who would be happy to get him. Any of those teams beside NYM could beat a Washington offer

They won't be in on JT but St Louis has now lost Yadier and Carson Kelly

I realize it's a noon start on a Thursday, but it looks terrible having nobody behind the plate on tv.
I mean who's going to pay 300+ bucks to watch a crappy game in a crappy weather in a crappy time with 1000s of kids screaming?

My bad, was looking at Nelson's 2017.

So yea, the hitters are terrible besides Anderson, and the pitching looks pretty good (for what it is).

I think this is it. I think they are throwing him in garbage time (which is a lot of time) to see if something clicks.

But this has to be it.

I kind of like Boston too. It would be another bulk package, but Beeks looks real good right now, Groome is a nice piece to develop, Chavis is kind of cool, Swihart wants out for a catcher, and the have a variety of power arms for the last guys in the deal. Fangraphs has Chavis and Groome in the 90s in their top 100. I also like gambling on Rusney Castillo if there is an opportunity for the Sox to eat a lot of money there, i.e. have them throw in 15 million and send them Ziegler too so Rusney effectively costs like $10 million bucks for the rest of this season, 19, and 20. Basically what they are paying Maybin so why not.

Just saying. Other teams can give 1 better piece, but realistically only the contenders will want Realmuto during the year and there are probably only 5-6 teams (likely Boston, Houston, Washington, St. Louis, maybe Colorado or Arizona) that will truly pay the price.

                              • Gotta get a star piece for jt. We have enough other guys we can trade for more depth, but jt is our last chance to get another potential star
