Ziegler might not be good but at least he’s not Junichi Tazawa.

I would get all the mileage you can out of this narrative now because it won’t hold up for long. The 2017 Marlins were the best team in baseball from like the middle of May through the beginning of September.

The worst they got was 14-27 on may 20 and the best they got was 3 over at 66-63 on august 27 so they went 52-36. The dodgers on may 20th were 25-19 and on august 27th were 91-38. Thats 66-19.
So yes, if you're right i wont post here for 30 days.

2017 Marlins
May 28 - August 27
49-33
I was wrong because I forgot about the sick run the Dodgers went on.
You were wrong because the Marlins were much better than 5th-10th best team during that stretch.
My original point remains, though, because the similarities between this year’s record and last years will soon end.
The 2018 Marlins have a tough stretch coming up, are tied for the 3rd worst run differential in baseball and will likely be selling pieces at the deadline to add more speedy defensive types.

i literally said they might have been top 5. i wasnt wrong. i wasnt saying that they were somewhere between the 5th and 10th best, i was saying they might have been top 10 or maybe even top 5.
And my agreement with your point remains the same, i wasnt arguing that we will finish with the same record, just pointing out a fact.

our pitching has been phenomenal the last few weeks. And castro has been really good this year. And dietrich has been horrific.

and JT has been incredible since he came back. i wish the guy would sign here long term, but if he doesnt we can get so much for him at the deadline/offseason.
