              • Jarlin against Tanaka tonight. Checked Tanaka's stats out, how is he 29 and why did i think he was at least 35?

                • It's a sign that your team is bad when your pbp guy keeps saying your opponent is in the lead when you have the lead.

how can you be sure if it was the PBP guy and not Hollandsworth. I still cant tell them apart.

Breaking news: Wei Yin Chen has pitched 2 scoreless innings thus far tonight in jupiter and ive yet to see anything on twitter about him hurting his elbow an deciding to rest it for another 5 months. Highlight of his marlins career thus far.

Only a matter of time before Jarlin blows up. .98 ERA with an 11/11 K/BB ratio. Those cant hold up simultaneously.

                    • 9 straight no-hit innings for Jarlin. His control has been very suspect in this game so far, though.

Id love to see what the expected results would be based on how many walks he's given up and how few k's he's had.

Welcome back JT! I forgot what it was like to have a major league catcher, even though this might be the only park that would have gone out in.

Saw a note today that our catchers OPS was worst in the league coming into today. Not surprising, but god were Wallach, Telis, and Holaday a horrific catching trio. I know we'll have to trade him if he doesnt re-sign, but id love to overpay JT for him to sign a long term deal if he'd be willing to be convinced. Dont blame him if he's not interested at all though.

Hell of a run by Jarlin going 10 straight no hit innings. Incredibly lucky, but still he's been solid as hell in the rotation.

                        • I’d have liked for us to have re-signed AJ Ellis this year. Seemed like he would’ve been a good guy to have around a young/inexperienced team.

i agree but i think he wanted to go back to Southern California. I dont think Holaday is a terrible backup guy once a week now that JT is back, the combo of him and Wallach without JT was horrendous though.

                            • Merandy is up. They ain't fucking around trying the arms which is kind of fun.

Think this is also a longterm indication they view him as a RP, which isn't really a surprise.

Just a short term thing i think with O'Grady going on the DL, Straily and Chen coming back within the next week or 2, and Wittgren has to come back eventually. And maybe mcgowan eventually coming back up too.
