I’m irrationally excited to see Jorge Guzman pitching finally. Really encouraging outing. Finally able to watch our minor leagues and think we have reinforcements possibly on the way

Chen threw the ball really well. Hopefully he’s able to stay healthy. I accept that we probably can’t trade him, but it’d be nice to get some return on all that money invested in him.

Also cool that I didn’t have to watch Ziegler close the game. Barraclough should be the closer. If he’s successful, he’d bring a nice haul at the deadline. Way more than Ziegler would.

Chen pitched well, you could tell it was going downhill in that last inning, though. Mattingly actually did well to get him out when he did and Wittgren (who I still can't figure out why he was in AAA for the first 3 weeks) got him out of the jam.

Now that guys like Jacob Turner are no longer here, our bullpen is actually, dare I say, not bad. I wouldn't mind just getting rid of Ziegler and Tazawa to give some more young guys a shot either.

I actually like our pitching a little more this year than I did last year to be honest.

100%. We actually have major league caliber options thanks to trying to acquire more depth in the offseason.

If straily and Chen can actually pitch for the rest of the rotation i think we'll get closer to 70 wins than many realize.

And yet they're on pace to only win 38, and going to the Dodgers, and at home vs Colorado. They may not win until a game in the 1st week of May. It's a real possibility.

On pace for 54 wins now. Also our SP might be pretty decent if Chen can stay healthy. Smith has been really impressive especially the last 2 outings. Our lineup has absolutely no power but we might be closer to 70 wins than 60 if we stay healthy and depending on the extent to which we trade off more veterans at the deadline.

Turns out having likely our 2 best SP's when healthy back and a top 5 catcher in the league can help a lot.
