Despaigne will be used as a starter again sometime anyways because looking at the upcoming weather in philly this weekend we're likely gonna have a rainout there. Doubleheader might be scheduled for later in the year though.Comment

Urena's lack of control is a prime example of why minor league numbers arent eveyrthing. He was a control guy in the minors and had the same number of walks for 4 straight years while increasing his innings pitched each year. But when guys who dont have the best stuff get to the majors hitters have a better idea of the strike zone and dont miss mistakes and it causes guys like Urena to have control issues. And he doesnt even have terrible stuff but its just a further example of minor league numbers not meaning everything and needing context when examining prospects.Originally posted by Lee Stone View Post

As for the rotation for the next month until Alcantara comes up, id go with Urena, Straily and Elieser when they come back, Smith, and Jarlin with Richards getting more experience in AAA. Then midseason deal Straily and maybe Urena and go with Elieser, Alcantara, Jarlin, Smith, and a AAA guy who excels like Richards/Gallen/maybe give Conley one last shot and then move him to the bullpen if he struggles.

great ab's by the guys making Sale throw a lot of pitches. Best you can really hope for with Sale is to make him throw a lot of pitches. He should be out by the 6th at this rate.Comment

Urena's been much better since that 1st inning opening day. Felt bad for him that day because it was clear he was nervous as hell and he's young and has no business pitching on opening day and that team's lineup is a juggernaut. Just want to see him at least match what he did last year and not have a huge regression.Comment
