The "building blocks" were an injury prone 2B with a 97 OPS+, an almost 30 year old with no position who struggles to even make contact, and a guy who exclusively hits singles that is so valuable he will probably be on his 4th team in 5 seasons before the end of this year.
Jazz for his career is 2.7 war per 162 games per baseball reference. He absolutely is injury prone, but he played better with the Yankees because believe it or not, when you surround good players with other good players, it helps the players out. When you refuse to help out young players and surround them with talent, it will make them worse. He also played 147 games last year.
burger based on his career ops+ is a top 10ish dh in the league. Is he more than a dh? No, and that’s ok.
im not going to get into arraez again on here, I get its cool to act as if he sucks now. He doesn’t. Every team can use his plate discipline and pure hitting ability.
which one of those moves made us better? What guy did they get in those trades that is better than the guy we gave up? How is the organization currently better than what it was last opening day? It’s cute to act as if trading all veterans for prospects makes you better because you have the illusion of hope. It’s an illusion. This organization is significantly worse than it was when bendix took over.
Ya man, bendix is great and has no responsibility for this shit team and his shit picks and trades. No responsibility for his shit arraez return immediately having a major hip injury and the other two having awful years. No responsibility for tanking in a sport with a lottery. No responsibility for the way he has flat out bungled every communication with the media. No responsibility for gutting every proven piece on the team in this market yet again. The guy is a fucking dope in way over his head, you just won’t admit it until he gets let go for the next savior. Just like you gave me shit for saying the arraez trade indicated a major 3+ year rebuild until it was too obvious to deny any more.
it doesn’t make you a better fan to deny reality. He’s taken a mediocre team with some building blocks and a bad farm into a mediocre farm with a terrible major league roster and alienated the fan base yet again. This is the worst position this franchise has ever been in, and that’s saying something. And that’s before trading sandy, which we all know they will.
now with Sanchez out for a month this is going to be one of the most pathetic major league opening day rosters in quite a while. And for what? A mediocre farm system with no legitimate star level prospect aside from maybe Thomas white who was here before he got here?

Thank you for the 700 word post but you’re still dumb for blaming Bendix for PJ Morlando being injured.
I didn’t, I said hell of a first draft pick for him. You interpreting that as blaming him for his injury is because you’re a moron. He was a reach when they picked him and is going to go almost the first full calendar year in our organization not playing after two major injuries. He hit two home runs in high school his senior year. He has no discernible elite tools.
his second pick put up a .565 ops in his first taste of minor league ball.
his headliner on the arraez deal has never put up great numbers and immediately had a major hip injury. The other two pieces had awful years in AA.
he’s a joke of a gm. Maybe he should hire 45 more assistant gm’s. That’s probably the issue

Yeah I thought same thing when I read his post. It was so dumb I didn’t even respond.

I mean you can't really blame him for an injury. A pretty minor injury to his non throwing hand at that.
He’s a high schooler with no real impact tools with two immediate injuries. Minor or not, hes off to the worst possible start from a guy who is supposed to be a great judge of talent. The guy is in way over his head. You all will realize that eventually. He has been a disaster thus far
