i have literally 0 idea what you're even arguing about. The dolphins have been a laughing stock for years. who is denying that? i made a comment that the marlins are more irrelevant than the dolphins, heat, panthers, canes, and inter miami. which they are. that has nothing to do with the dolphins being good or bad. their owner cant put a championship level product on the field due in large part to his own incompetence in the front office, but there's no arguing he doesnt do everything possible to try to win from the stand point of investing in his organization.

The marlins are a horrifically owned, horrifically run, minor-league joke of a franchise. that's not really up for debate to you except you because you're a homer. im not sure what word is stronger than after thought, but that's what the marlins are in their own market. and that's what they get for decades of tear down after tear down and low payroll after low payroll.

the marlins havent won a legitimate, non covid expanded playoff game in 22 years. The dolphins owner at least gives a fuck about winning and investing in his team and stadium. Even if his personnel decision makers are fairly incompetent at doing anything other than producing a mediocre team. And they dont tear their team down constantly. They dont really compare to the marlins though given the popularity of the sports.

the panthers should be the model for what the marlins could be.

I have high hopes for Weathers' return. I really believe he should be a staple of the rotation in years to come. Gotta stay healthy obviously. Whatever is going on with Sandy is hard to watch. I think he needs a phantom injury to work on his command. It's clear he's not injured. He hit 100 mph a couple of times against the White Sox. He's just leaving everything right down the pipe. That and he's not getting guys to chase the off-speed stuff.

I'm starting to worry that Norby isn't very good.

Promising to see the wheels come completely off for Max Meyer after his 14 strikeout performance.

Salas is a special talent so far. Also wasn't comparing them as players so much as pointing out you never know how a young player will develop.

I dont shit on Edwards for his lack of power. I worry that he needs an unsustainable BABIP to be a productive hitter and combined with his lack of power and horrid defense I find him to be more of a utility type going forward.

At the only age appropriate level he has played at he hit .301/.423/.346.

The Phillies were pretty aggressive with him because of his defense and his patience. He's only 19 so there's no saying if he will develop power or not. Francisco Lindor had a .389 SLG % in 1600 MiLB ABs for example.

I dont care what Baseball America did after 50 ABs in A Ball. You shouldn't either.
andrew salas is 4.2 years younger than the competition at the exact same level and putting up a great year. The players who are at that level who are bringing up that average age are largely non-prospects. Yes age matters, but it doesnt completely excuse bad play.

You bring up Francisco lindor. His .389 slugging would almost a full 100 points higher than Caba's to date. He was also a lot younger relative to competition than caba is and still performed. in 2012 he was 3.6 years younger at the same level caba is at now. in 2013 in A+ and AA he was 3.8 and 5.4 years younger and put up big numbers, and in 2014 he was almost 7 years younger than the competition in AAA and held his own.

Caba is doing the same shit at the A ball level that Xavier edwards does at the major league level that you consistently shit on.

I'm not saying he is 100% going to suck, but im done with the years and years of trading quality major league players for the bullshit hope trafficking of minor league prospects that cant order a beer while they spend nothing on the major league roster.

not even sure that's an english sentence but ok. I was just pointing out that he's going to be out the next 2 months at least now.

He also has quite literally never hit well. He has 14 extra base hits in 550 career PA's. His career slugging is under .300. His career average is under .250. He steals bases but not all that efficiently. The only positive to his offensive game is that he has good plate discipline. If you want to project that to a major league player as he gets to higher levels in the minors, more power to you. This front office deserves 0 benefit of the doubt, and baseball america has already removed him from their top 100 just a month after getting here.
