You do this every 2 months when he has one of his few hot streaks. He will finish the year like he finishes every single year- somewhere between a .700 and .730 ops, terrrible defense, terrible base running. Hes a punching bag because he sucks

he has .4 war. He is a thoroughly mediocre aaaa player or bench bat. Trying to make him out to be anything other than that is just asking to have egg on your face. the guy has 1.8 WAR total for his career and he's been here for 3.5 years of full time starting.

I hope he is, but either way his value won’t be what it should be, or what it was in the winter when they should have traded him. Hopefully I’m wrong and some team will get desperate, but it feels like the latest turd sandwich for this franchise with a long history of eating them.

Could it just be an extended slump? Sure. Still, it does appear the shoulder is still causing him some discomfort. Thus, possibly impacting his play.
