he was activated and optioned to AAA, not MLB. he should be up here playing SS every day though. I was fine with the anderson signing because his drop off in production over the last few years has been pretty unheard of, but at this point it's a lost cause. We are already paying Arraez a lot to be great somewhere else, do the same with anderson and let edwards prove whether he can play SS. the team sucks anyways. Might as well give him the ab's over anderson who just doesnt seem to have anything left whatsoever.

he has been a very good hitter for like 7 years now after being truly terrible here for like 4 years straight.

He was also pretty awful in the minors before he came to Miami. He was released by St. Louis if memory serves.

Some coach had to have made an adjustment somewhere because he was legitimately one of the worst hitters I had ever seen get regular playing time(ironically that honor was later taken by Miguel Rojas).

The victory lap was like 2 years ago. Now it’s just making fun of people like Lou who try to make him out to be some sort of piece potentially every time he gets hot for a week as if his entire minor league and major league career hasn’t been the exact same thing. Literally the exact same thing his entire career. Go look at the career numbers overall in the minors and majors. He’s remarkably consistent in his awfulness

rosenthal says today that luzardo is the single most likely player to get traded. "He's gone". Let's fast forward to when they get multiple 19 year olds so we can stop pretending like they are trying to win anytime soon. Sandy would be next if he were healthy.

braxton garrett is the next guy they should be signing early for cheap now that they wont sign and will end up trading in 2 years.

I honestly like pairing Garrett and Weathers with Sandy and Eury going forward, with that last spot being taken by either Meyer or Cabrera. Whoever loses that battle becomes the closer, then you sign 2 5th starters in Free Agency to 1-year deals every year, to be Gap fillers. Guys who can give you 3-4 innings out of the pen and take over in the rotation when needed. (I know we've talked about this a million times)

already DFA'd the asian pitcher we got for Arraez. Just an awful trade. No excuse for not paying him. Head has played 3 games in a month and is in low A ball as a non top 100 prospect. Martorella hitting .190 with a .470 OPS in AA for us. Marsee hitting sub .200 with a .624 OPS for us. But keith law liked it so that counteracts everything. Meanwhile Arraez has 1.1 WAR according to Bball reference and .8 for fangraphs with the padres in less than a month, just won player of the week, has struck out just 4 times in 100 at bats, and is leading the league yet again in hitting.
