He literally just out dueled kershaw in his last start, which came after 2 straight 6 scoreless inning outings. He had a bad game, it happens. Just bad timing.


to say you’d rather have the guy who pitched one game and then needed to have Tommy John over our best starter this year is kind of absurd

Why exactly are we scheduled to have another bullpen game tomorrow? We have 5 starters in the rotation? What the fuck are we doing? Just throw Cabrera and back him up with Castano if he doesn’t pitch tonight and we need innings. Cabrera looked good last time out

I was joking about Meyer to illustrate how little confidence I have in Luzardo in big spots.

Thr Brewers are the 6th worst team in OPS and Luzardo laid a big rotten egg.

Sixto is pitching an inning tomorrow in AA

He is OOO next year so it is a real big few weeks for him, plus winter ball. This would really be a neat pitcher depth chart for next year if he can be counted on as a backend reliever with the hope of a full longterm recovery. The only thing I'd say is trade Okert for an equal value right hand reliever here, but this has top staff in baseball potential IMO.

Sandy, Eury, Cabrera (Meyer, Hoeing ---> Meyer will be down until midseason to build up innings/rust + gain a year of service time)
Luzardo, Garrett, Rogers (Monteverde, Fulton ---> Both not on 40 man)
Chargois, Sixto (Bender, Soriano, Maldonado, Brazoban)
Scott, Puk, Nardi, Okert, Weathers

No idea how to fix the bats absent $$$, but I'm all-in on this staff if they do keep Soler on a QO or 2 year extension + conjure up a SS and C upgrade which could frankly just be heavy side platoon options that can hit RHP a little as Amaya and Fortes should be plus against left handers.
