Sick series win in Philadelphia

Big 4 game series in Milwaukee before the dreaded last 3 against the braves. If we do end up making the playoffs we will likely be playing in Milwaukee in the wild card round so super interested to see how we match up against them. Hope for 3 of 4 with super low expectations against the braves this weekend

Big fine coming (he signed a $70m buyout so not too concerned about him!) to do this publicly I imagine, but this is the hero we have needed. Hopefully this gets some larger name players to get behind this. I'm not good at Twitter to know if other MLB guys have liked this, but it looks like NBA MVP Jokic liked this which is hilarious.

As long as the manager continues to deploy the slowest baserunners at the top of the order, I will continue to discredit him. The Marlins never manufacture runs. What were the stolen base numbers for Philly vs the Marlins? About 10-1? Why doesn't Jazz bunt regularly, esp vs LHP? How about Berti? How about getting Edwards in the lineup every day? Edwards would have to bat fifty times to compile the strikeouts Hampson booked yesterday alone.

Arraez is top 10 in the league in OBP so it is pretty hard not to bat him # 1 against RHP with only a minor drop against lefties because you still have to play him. Clog the bases as Billy Beane would say. They should be doing something like batting Jazz 3 and Sanchez 5 against RHP behind him to have a nice lefty mix up but that's really it. Berti should probably lead off vs LHP. That'll get some of the "speed" guys up a little but they can't really drop Burger outside the top 5 as he is hitting, and Bell is likely there next best hitter. No room for "any speed" as they have to stack their best hitters.

Also a big fan of Jazz starting to bunt vs LHP. That is something Varsho did last year and he got like 10+ bunt hits on lefties. Of course there was the shift, but Jazz having a .600 OPS vs LHP would be a huge improvement. He's under .500 OPS last 100 PA against them which is insane for how good he is as a 4+ WAR player during this time.
