i saw that report yesterday. Not a chance in the world. Look at any video that has been posted of him throwing in the last 3 years. Not a chance in hell he is all of a sudden up to 94. I hope it's true, but it's just not.

How do you know it’s not true?

im sure that is what the marlins reported publicly about his velocity, but if you follow sixto on instagram and look at all the videos posted showing his bullpens, he isnt throwing close to as hard as he can. There's not a chance in hell it is 94.

Here is a video from a little under a month ago. this is how every single one of his bullpen videos has looked for literally 3 full years. Count me as completely skeptical that he is all of a sudden throwing 94.

Here is a january bullpen- https://twitter.com/marlinsminors/st...13435947126784

Here is an april bullpen- https://twitter.com/marlinsminors/st...59259650260995

Here is his playoff game against the cubs- https://twitter.com/marlinsminors/st...95498040479747

I sure hope it's true. The Jumbo Shrimp are in a very tight race for the second half crown and a spot in the playoffs. They could use a good arm if Sanchez is ready to throw.

Lee - Not such a fan of the Major League Club who's a half game out of a playoff spot.

            • Sandy (flexor) and Soler (oblique) to the DL.

              Smeltzer recalled

              Great news.

              • Sandy was put on the IL with a right forearm flexor strain,

Soler also goes to the IL with a right oblique strain.

Well we are playing the Phillies in 2 days.

                  • well with our schedule the next 2 weeks, that will probably be the season.

                      • 24 games left and only 8 of them are against very good teams (the Brewers are not a very good team).

If the Marlins can not be the worst team in the NL hitting with RISP, they have a shot at the 3rd WC. They’ve proven they can win without Soler, will Cabrera be terrible or average is the question.

Mish saying its probably season for Sandy. Obliques are usually a few weeks for Soler. Josh Naylor was out a month and just got back.

They are probably both done at this point of the year. Brutal.

                            • did soler reaggravate something last night or does he just need more time to heal. Regardless, the next 10 days are critical against huge teams and he is done for those games at least and we might be done as well. Edwards and garrett hampson/berti need to be playing every day now. There is no longer a reason for edwards to be out of the lineup. he should be at 2b, arraez at 1b, Bell to Dh. pretty simple there. Sandy being gone, especially against this schedule, is just a killer.

                              • those fucking dickhead guardian claims look even more brutal now. They desperately could have used moore and lopez to help this bullpen the last 3 weeks.
