We’re interested in Michael Lorenzon. Relief experience on top of being a starter so can become a swing guy down the stretch when eury comes back and if cueto is for real

big start today for cueto. if he looks like he did last week and has the same velocity, ng has a really interesting decision to make whether to trust it or not. if he can all of a sudden become what we expected of him when we signed him, that is an unbelievably huge development. realistically, they should probably get another starter anyways because idk how you can count on much from cabrera at this point with his blister and his control issues, but the need goes from needing a legit middle of the rotation guy to just a depth piece. I think Michael Lorenzon makes a ton of sense because of his swing guy capability and his ability to go into the bullpen for multiple inning stints if needed. He's been really good this year though so that might cost a lot and id prefer to go after lineup upgrades and maybe cheap out on a not quite as good starter, but you could also think of lorenzon as both rotation help and bullpen help so it's a tough call.
