This is what I mentioned a few days ago - they are not pulling Sandy fast enough. They need to take his leash off from last year, he's not the same guy right now. Should have come out 2 batters earlier.

Edwards apparently has fringy arm strength, that's why he is a 2b. Ideally, we move arraez to 1b next year, edwards slides in as the every day 2b, and hopefully amaya takes over and can become something at SS. Then we need t o look for a long term C and 3b and we might be cooking with the pitching we have. I wish we could keep soler for next year though with how he has played, but he is definitely opting out and some team will foolishly give him a big time long term contract i think.
I'd like to see cooper gone next year. It's enough with him. He's not hitting nearly well enough to justify keeping at the price tag and with the injury history.

Yeah it really seems like the organization is completely willing to utilize young guys as bench guys that play once or twice a week. (Sanchez and Edwards) but are quick to give AAAA players like Hampson and Davis all kinds of playing time immediately, it doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

Some random info - Riley Greene is leading baseball with a .412 BABIP and 2 and 3 are tied at .392. DLC and Arraez.
Since DLC's OPS low on May 5th, he has gone: .360/.421/.593 (.413 BABIP), 5 HR, 9.5% BB, 18.9% K. If we are going to get that BB/K, watch the fuck out. The BABIP is clearly nuts, but that could translate very quickly to .290/.350/.475+

I didn't have a problem with Skip bringing him out for the 7th. But that hook should've been immediate after the first walk.
He has not proven the ability to get past the struggles this year, and doesn't deserve the leash.
That said, if we could just get a hit from Segura or Arraez with bases loaded on multiple occasions, we'd have been ahead by a few more runs.

TLDR on Fangraphs propsects:
Eury is awesome
Eder, Cappe, and Meyer top 100ish prospects and should be good. Alot of variance with Cappe right now.
Fulton backend starter
Amaya and Edwards solid bench guys. Edwards may be a CF longterm as not good defensively in infield.
Watson moves up to FV45 tier and is all projection but may be great eventually. Going to take some time.
Vargas (last years midseason teenage add) looks very interesting as a FV40+ longterm.
Mack has a low end starter/backup profile if he makes it. Is never going to hit much and is going to be an all power backup.
Berry probably sucks. Sigh.
Mesa Jr. and Nasim have maybe bench profiles because of defense. Don't expect too much.
Monteverde is a high floor low ceiling 5th SP < --- Congrats Lee. This is 15th in the system. Tip of the cap, he jumped 20 guys.
They have some guys I have no idea who they are (Sanoja, J. Miller) as teenage FV40s. Cool.
Miller and Millbrandt are nothing special and need to throw harder or become relievers.
Some good news - a lot of FV40 relievers we don't think about much are in the system and are right handers (F. Sanchez (got for Elisier), Pushard, Maldonado, S. Reynolds). Hoeing got moved here too.
(Not on list, but they did move Nardi to a FV40 earlier this year but since graduated)
R. Hernandez is a legitimate sleeper C prospect.
Sixto moved to a FV35+ because he hasn't played in 17 years.
Dramatic drop for I. Lewis to FV35+ also. He's just an athlete to them. Disappointing one.
Last year's FV40 teenagers (Gerardo, Peguero) dropped to projection FV35+ types.
Banfield is a third catcher and kept until out of options. He is a good defender.
They think Fitterer (dropped off list) probably should move to relief.
Soriano and Simpson also dropped off FV35+ tier. There are a lot of maybe relievers in the system beyond guys above.
There are some toolsy/late bloomers in McIntosh, Morisette, and some others but a lot of nothing special.

So this looks like the internal team sooner rather than later getting rid of the contracts/veterans:
C _____, Fortes (Mack and Hernandez longterm hope)
1B Arraez, _____ (maybe Berry)
2B ______ (Watson longterm hope)
SS ______, Amaya (maybe Nasim or Watson if stays here defensively)
3B Cappe, _____ (maybe Groshans)
LF DLC
CF Jazz, Edwards (maybe Mesa Jr.)
RF J. Sanchez (maybe Burdick)
SP-R Sandy, Eury, Cabrera, Meyer
SP-L Luzardo, Rogers, Garrett, Eder, Fulton, Monteverde
RP-R Bender, Miller, Millbrandt, F. Sanchez, Pushard, Maldonado, S. Reynolds, Hoeing, Soriano, Sixto, Fitterer, etc.
RP-L Puk, Nardi, Simpson
Not that we all don't know this, but they are going to have to trade two SP for longterm bats, sign a third one, pray Cappe, DLC, and Jazz hold up and Fortes is at minimum a premium backup, hope to get lucky with someone more unexpected like Edwards, Amaya, Berry (sigh again), Nasim, Groshans, Mesa Jr., etc. working out into larger roles, and probably get 1-2 elite right handed relievers at some point. Looks like they have numbers to fill out the middle and back of bullpen which is good. I do like all these right handers like Sanchez, Pushard, and Maldonado getting good write ups.
This is still screaming to me Rogers/Eder and Fulton are the trades for bats in the offseason, and if they fall out, to target with Soler, Cooper, Floro, and Scott type guys right handed relievers and more Edwards/Amaya/Groshans types and hope someone eventually works out offensively. Even better if they get better names than those. So this is in good shape if they do make the two SP trades and fucking sign somebody that doesn't suck like Garcia and Segura. Hard to argue with that SP depth chart even if two go in trades as that trickle down to the pen will really play up. That's still the key here. This is how they win, if ever:
Sandy, Eury, Luzardo, Cabrera, Rogers/Eder
Meyer, Bender/whoever, Pushard/whoever, Sanchez/whoever
Puk, Garrett, Nardi, Monteverde
