I think you'd need more than the lottery ticket, but if the Marlins fall out, there could be really fun 3-3 trade ideas.
Peraza, Pereira (they can afford Bader, and Judge, Dominguez, and Stanton with Spencer Jones coming fast and Cabrera able to pop out there is a really strong top 6 OF situation), Outside top 25
Luzardo, Soler, Floro
That isn't outrageous and potentially sets this up in 2025. Berry, Watson, and Cappe can spend all next year in AA you know.
____, Fortes
Arraez, Berry
Watson
Peraza, Amaya/Nasim
Cappe
DLC, J. Sanchez
Jazz, Edwards
Pereira
Sandy, Eury, Cabrera, Rogers, Garrett, Eder
Meyer, Enright, Sixto/Bender, Soriano/Reynolds
Puk, Fulton, Nardi/Simpson
And they'd still have another SP to trade (i.e. catcher) and this is CHEAP where anyone can pick their most hated name above from Berry, DLC, and Sanchez and imagine a pricy 1B/LF/CF/DH type with that roster spot and shuffle everyone around positionally.
A best case scenario for sure. But a Luzardo move only makes sense to me if he gets "two" centerpieces even if some great secondary guys are thrown in. But let's hope they keep toe'ing the line to contending and they actually get them some help ASAP.

I think you have to value him at that level assuming Luzardo's agent team hasn't told everyone no extensions, which I find unlikely. Peraza would need to be a 2.5-3 WAR player over 6 years to get to that. That being said, his Zips projections do have him 2.4-2.7 next few years.

They need to be blown away with a trade offer to move Luzardo.

I'm not pushing anything here though. Sign me up for Moncada today and then play that out for a few weeks when more guys might be available around the league and what is the highest need. Frankly, Jazz coming back a healthy Jazz (against right handers alone even), Sanchez hitting RHP like he was showing a little earlier, DLC being "this DLC," and some marginal improvements all over (Fortes up close to 150 OPS points recently and a .697 OPS so far in May which definitely plays for at catcher. He may be coming around for real, Segura cant' possibly be this bad for much longer, Sandy is likely going to revert to being Sandy at some point, etc.). Per Moncada, I like Segura getting back to 2B and maybe that fixes him, and while not ideal, Arraez isn't very great at 2B so it's just accepting he should be mostly playing 1B and Soler needs to play a bit more OF when Cooper is at DH. I think it would all work. Yuli's peripherals are terrible as noted, so getting ahead of that would be great and no tears would be shed there.
I think I am pretty set with the longterm pitching being this in my mind, so I agree blown away for Luzardo. Effectively Rogers/Eder seems like the most reasonable move, praying for Sixto or Bender to fully be healthy so the blank line disappears internally, and then there is another lefty or two to trade on top of this.
Sandy, Eury, Luzardo, Cabrera, Rogers/Eder
Meyer, ____, and pick three of Sixto, Bender, Enright, Soriano, Reynolds, and Interchangeable arms
Puk, Eder/Garrett/Fulton, Nardi/Simpson/Monterverde
I totally agree with the other post, they can't waste this June schedule and evaluate in July. It's right now and pad the June wins if you can, with the knowledge that if it doesn't work they can unload everyone last week of July anyways so no big deal.

I think we are good to stop talking about sixto at this point. It sucks, but there is a reason mish has refused to even discuss options with him for over a year now. It's apparent at this point that he will just never be healthy again. No clue what is just bad injury luck and what was him not taking his rehab seriously the last 2 years, but it doesnt seem like he will ever pitch again like mish has been saying for over a year.

Sanchez activated, Edwards optioned, Davis remains (he is OOO), and Hampson remains (he has an option).
Edwards probably should get the every day PA but good to know he belongs. I suppose Hampson and Davis get kicked once Jazz and Garcia are back in a few weeks.

i guess it's better to get him every day AB's, but given how bad our offense is you have to think there were more AB's for Edwards until Jazz and Sanchez and unfortunately Garcia get back. I wish he played SS, but i think Edwards has an everyday role next year at 2b with Arraez shifting over, and then figuring out if you can keep cooper or Soler at DH next year or if Sanchez or DLC moves there.
Jacob Amaya is pushing for a promotion soon too. I get that we havent had any luck with bats developing with us, but im looking forward to seeing if we can get some production from this next wave of prospects who will be ready soon. Amaya, Edwards, and hopefully Burdick. Get rid of the crap like wendle, berti should be super utility/late inning weapon, Garcia, etc. It can either flame out and somehow make the lineup worse or you have some young exciting cheap talent to build around for the next few years. either way, im looking forward to a fresher lineup. this one just isnt special.
We arent a good lineup by any stretch of the imagination, but we are significantly better this year with Soler being amazing and Arraez being ridiculous. If we can just stay healthy and get jazz and Sanchez back and hope that Segura snaps out of it, we could be a fringe playoff team. Please just give me tim anderson and Grandal though. That makes us a playoff team IMO.
C- Grandal/Fortes
1b- Cooper/Gurriel
2b- Arraez
SS- Anderson/Berti
3b- Segura
LF- DLC
CF- Jazz
RF- Sanchez
DH- Soler
Bench- Garcia, Gurriel, Fortes, Berti
That's a damn good team with the pitching we have.

As a team the overall hitting stats are mediocre, which is a huge improvement. 9th in BA (offseason was good in that regard), 19th in OBP, 19th in slugging, 20th in OPS, just 24th in HR's, 7th in SB's, 18th in k's, but 29th in walks.
compared to last year where we were 28th in BA, 27th in OBP, 28th in slugging, 27th in OPS, 24th in HR's, 2nd in sb's last year (Berti), 27th in Walks, 27th in k's. Are we mediocre offensively? Hell yes. Is mediocre an improvement on terrible. Hell yes.
The pitching has actually gotten worse though thus far by just ERA. 4.29 ERA this year, 3.87 last year. Gotta figure that will continue to improve
