these mattingly lineups are firing worthy- Tonight aguilar is once again hitting 3rd, lewin is out of the lineup, de la Cruz is batting cleanup, and billy hamilton and luke Williams are starting instead of sanchez, and fortes is benched again for stallings. there is no coherent plan at all.

because why start sanchez and let him get plate opportunities against a lefty when you can give billy hamilton or luke Williams at bats in a game that means nothing.

another game in which we do not score a run in the first 3 innings. I'm going to find the stat, but we have to be the worst team in the league at scoring early.

Not sure if it’s been discussed in prior pages as I’m just showing up to comment, but apparently we were somewhat close to dealing Avisail for Marcell Ozuna according to Craig Mish.

We should revisit this in the offseason, and make it happen. Throw Braves lover, Soler, in the deal, as well.

I don't necessarily disagree with his comments because he's 100% right about how this team has to operate from a disadvantage payroll wise which was an indirect shot at the owner, but they also operate at a strategy disadvantage because he is one of the most terrible and nonsensical managers out there.

I get it. And why should he care if the FO doesn't? But still. It's evident from top to bottom that nobody employed by (or owning for that matter) the Marlins, cares. I'd just like to see some sort of glimmer of hope that someone does.

completely agree. he's lost a step, but he is still a significantly better player than garcia and quite frankly always has been. TO be clear though after reading the article, I don't think it was close. it was discussed but no formal proposals and mish corrected someone on twitter and clarified it wasn't technically "close", however one defines close.
