braxton garrett quietly putting together another really nice minor league season. i'd say give him another look if there's an opportunity, but if he's still throwing with bad velocity I cant really expect anything different in terms of results.

Luzardo is coming back a little slowly, probably another 2-3 weeks at least. Sixto is trying to see how far he can throw a baseball on flat ground for months at a time before he actually steps on the mound again. So disappointing, his 2020 was so exciting to watch and his stuff was ridiculous, but that seems like forever ago now.

unreal. this has another 1 run loss written all over it. finally found the stat- we're 6-14 in 1 run games. Next highest number of losses is 12 for the cubs, then 9 for the Phillies. Unbelievable. Our Pythagorean record is actually 3 games over .500. Front office fucked up a ton in the offseason but they have also been exceedingly unlucky

this team was constructed poorly, but man some of these stats indicate a ridiculous amount of bad luck. We all know the 1 run losses, but we also are tied with the Yankees and dodgers for most 5+ run losses. So essentially, we play only close games but cant win close games.

Not sure how Mattingly isn't fired yet. They need a fresh voice.

The marlins seem to have perfected the ability to completely fall apart for an entire month of a season and torching any hopes of contention. It's remarkable how often this has happened. Happened all the time with loria because he didn't invest in any quality depth so when stanton got hurt we were fucked.

The marlins don't have bad months, they have catastrophic months.
