  • They do dumb things but the FO looks like geniuses right now not extending Anderson.

That was sweet. Almost put India in China with that shot. Love watching the animated Sanchez at the plate.

I actually think it's a prime opportunity to extend him when he's down. Super high defensive floor, and he's been hurt. I'm not going to be upset if they go year to year with him either though.

Don't say that or Fish16 will have a stroke. He (has in the past at least) contended we are ahead of both the KC & Cubs rebuilds in the 2010's.

I don't know what the purpose of this post is, but I think everyone except 1 person here expected a fierce BABIP correction as you don't have a .418 BABIP for very long. But let's root for the guy?

Season so far is still a radical improvement for him. I'm hopeful he can hit a high 700 OPS here on out, with a better lefty split, and that's a good platoon player all of a sudden.

                • lou, I know you haven't been around much the last year and a half, but for the most part we just ignore Maddawg. He's negative to be negative and get a rise out of people (especially fish16), why he wastes his time with this, we'll never know, but that's what he does.

                  • Sonny Gray becomes the most recent of a season-long series of pitchers that face the Marlins and instantly end an ice-cold streak. I felt the only difference between Gray and Hernandez last night was that Gray got to toss to the Marlins - a group that always proves anxious to swing at crap.

Prior to dominating Miami in the series opener, Luis Castillo had allowed 11 ER in his last two starts (10 IP). Gray had allowed 23 ER over his previous 28 innings.

He is absolutely brutal, no question about that. Wish the Marlins would have added a good pitcher to the Duvall trade in order to upgrade from Jackson to Shea Langeliers.

Seemed like a no-brainer to me.

The next 6 months is the most critical time in this organizations history.

                        • My guess is Langeliers was off limits.

                          • At this point try the catcher they got from the Brewers. Jackson is pretty awful and playing Leon is pointless.

Good strategy because it will get me back down to the ballpark if he debuts at home.

Exciting news. Hopefully it's Luzardo getting sent down so we can revamp his mechanics.
