absolutely. which makes you wonder why the fuck sierra is on the roster. if his only skill is speed and he cant steal bases and monte is legitimately good and efficient in that regard, how has he made it going on 4 years on this fucking roster with no repercussions for being an awful hitter? I hate when we are so scared of losing a guy if we were to DFA him that we dont take a step back and think about why the hell we are even trying to keep him in the first place.

big time homer by Aguilar. The one thing we had last year that has been lacking this year is the fight and the ability to claw back late in games. Good to see.

name the best player out of Sandy leon, chad wallach, and jorge alfaro. I dare you. Just so bad, and it was so clearly obvious coming into the year. Completely inexcusable and now they are going to have to deal from a position of strength to find a catcher of the future unless they want to wait 4 years for mack to potentially produce. I cant imagine alfaro getting tendered a contract next year. I pray that does not happen. admit the mistake and move on.

i doubt we would get anything of upper echelon prospect significance for aguilar and marte individually, so given that they both can be free agents after the year id try to move them as a package deal and try to get the best individual prospect we can get after shopping them. The rays would make sense as they have room for improvement at 1b and in CF or DH marte would fit as kiermeier cant hit and arozarena isn't what he seemed like last year.

i guess they wanted monte to get every day ab's in AAA but It has never for a second made sense that the guy they have up here is sierra instead of him other than the irrational fear of losing sierra if they DFA him, Monte is just as fast while actually being able to steal bags efficiently, he's just as good defensively, strikes out way too much but at least has really good raw power if he runs into one, and he has a cannon for an arm. there is not any kind of coherent reasoning for magneuris sierra being in this organization anymore let alone having what is essentially at this point a guaranteed meaningless roster spot

lebatard's show summed it up well for both him and brinson, if you have 4 tools but the tool that you lack is the hit tool, are you a major league player? I think there is a 4th or 5th OF role for monte if no improvement is ever shown. His skills are actually apparent
