But have they shown a propensity to even care about getting offensive players? They failed with basically all of them so far. Corey Dickerson comes here his batting average drops to record low numbers, Matt Duvall comes here and isn't the guy he was for Atlanta. The Yelich trade is just so HORRIBLE. It's just frustrating to watch a team go through now the 4th year of offensive BS. You're wasting good pitching and in the end, these guys are going to be demanding trades, because of it. Their career numbers are suffering, and that means less money they can earn when they finally get traded to a team that will pay them & they're due a 2nd contract.

The main problem with the offense is that Brian Anderson isn’t hitting, and the best offensive prospect (Jazz) + best offensive acquisition that you failed to mention (Marte) are injured.

that's exactly the point. what they did the first 25+ years of this franchise, which is clearly clouding every thought you have about this franchise, is irrelevant to the current state and future of this franchise. as I've said for years now, your shitty experience clouds every thought you have and makes it impossible to have an informed, rational discussion about the current team and ownership's future

Marte is our best overall position player, and was doing great prior to the injury.

As for Bass, yeah not great so far. Ng also rebuilt the whole bullpen and the rest of it has been just fine so far.

Ng’s been fine, if anything we have to see how she does when she can spend some money, which I’m guessing they’ll start spending some more of in the coming years.

Gotta love the guy that forgets literally one of the main cogs of the offense, who was batting .321 with 2 HR and 8 RBI in 15 games before he got hurt.
