That was a big time much needed win last night. The bats are starting to regress to the mean in a good way all of a sudden and the bullpen has been solid aside from bass really. Big game today with Pablo on the mound. We really need to see rojas get going next and for the love of god can we please find a catcher somewhere

most impressive part about jazz so far- 8 k's and 6 walks. and he's hitting extra base hits which is what we desperately needed in the lineup. Now please stop taking him out for double switches as he might already be one of our best hitters.

Replay is ridiculous. The ump could not call a strike yesterday

Love these kind of graphics. Jazz has been fucking awesome out of the gate so far. it is a huge comp but I really do think the more I watch him the more his impact reminds me of lindor both on and off the field. an energetic leader who can be the face of the franchise for a decade from the SS position. And from looking solely at lindor's offensive stats I think jazz is capable of playing to that level. Surprisingly lindor has never had a .900 OPS season but I can see jazz with a similar production in the high .200's BA, high .800 OPS, 20-35 hr's, 15-25 SB's, and a fan favorite.
If bleday can be the steady middle of the order presence everyone expects him to be paired with anderson's consistency and an absolutely dynamite rotation we have a legitimate window for contention.
On a side note, not sure how reliable this is at all but I saw someone reply to a mish tweet and say that they spoke to Mel Stottlemeyer during a rain delay the other day and that Sixto should be back in a month.
While it's not fun to have this lineup of vets that are for the most part pretty average to above average, with the trickling in of the prospect bats we could see a real steady growth the next 2 years into a legit title contender. Fingers crossed we get a rotation of Sandy, Sixto, Pablo, Rogers, and Meyer at some point really soon. I'm obviously a homer who looks on the bright side but that's easily a top 5 rotation in baseball within the next couple years and all very affordable. They now need to spend to get a legit bullpen back end. We can string together a decent bullpen like we have been with cheap additions but it is really worth it to go out and spend 10 million on 2 good bullpen arms. the fact that they didn't this past offseason knowing that they had to be careful with the young arms off the pandemic shortened season and with the fact that so many arms were available for cheap is incredibly annoying.

What realistic options are available to improve at C right away? Anyone from shitty teams that might be expendable soon? Because with no DH and the C position being a complete black hole offensively it makes it really hard to score runs consistently. that's 2 spots in an already limited lineup that you just know you're getting no production from.
Mish teased that he will have something in the herald today about a name at C they went after that most don't know about so if anyone sees that please post it. I'm interested to see if maybe they explored a deal for JT again to try to steal him back. He would have been the perfect missing piece long term. that's really the only hole we have in the roster long term.
