no harm no foul and the phillies lost as well and we are still for all intents and purposes up 2 games on them due to the tie break, but that's just brutal. give your best guys a chance to hit. a guarantee guy on 2nd for your 2 best hitters with 1 out is a much better position than risking getting thrown out there and having anderson up with 2 outs and the bases empty.

braves pen got pretty worked tonight in game 1 of a 4 game series. if we can steal tomorrow with sixto and pablo game 3 and 4 we will be fine but that marte hardest hit ball of his entire year in that situation to be hit right at riley is why baseball is a heartbreaker. get em tomorrow we got this boys

The first inning pitching issues were highly magnified by bad defense and swinging bunts. Rogers was clearly unlucky tonight in that respect.

Obviously walking the first two hitters was brutal, but I agree Rogers pitched a lot better than his line.

i do feel bad for him in the sense that he is clearly being rushed and should be going against AA or AAA guys at this point but id like to see cabrera next time out in his spot

They rushed all the guys because of no minors and the fact that could win the East. Rogers/Garrett/Cabrera/Lewin/Devers all shouldnt even have sniffed the MLB this year but since have to be on the 40 man OR are already on it they pushed them

urena has a better ERA and WHIP although the peripherals go to rogers. Id prefer neither of them and wish elieser was healthy and that theyd give cabrera a turn but i dont trust either of those guys at this point. 1 thing i do trust is that Urena will absolutely bean Acuna again at some point tonight

last night went about as well as possible if we were going to lose. every other team in the hunt lost and our playoff odds actually went up. Tonight is huge. IF we can steal the game tonight with Sixto, Pablo, and Sandy coming up the next 3 we will be sitting pretty. Magic number for us is down to 5

matt joyce now has an ops of .668 and an OPS against righties of .711. For the love of god stop giving him AB's ahead of Anderson and Cooper and stop starting him over Brinson. It's maddening. The lineup should be Rojas, Marte, Anderson, Cooper, Dickerson, Aguilar, Brinson, Berti/Jazz, Alfaro. Enough fucking around already. It's not a hard concept to get your best players the most AB's and it drives me nuts that so many managers dont understand that concept.
