I assume most here are DFA'ing Wallach and hope he clears and not crying if he doesn't, and then trading Urena and accepting Yamamoto/Elisier/Dugger as the 4-5 SP until the bigger names arrive. Or trading Conley, and accepting Tarpley and Quijada in the bullpen as the 2-3 lefties.
That pushes Brinson to AAA.
Alfaro, Cervelli
Aguilar, Cooper
Isan
Rojas, Berti
Anderson
Dickerson
Villar, Sierra
Ramirez, Joyce
(40 man AAA-Brinson; Post Super 2 - Lewin and Monte, maybe Sanchez and Jazz)
Honestly this keeps swinging back to Lee's thought - trade Rojas. He's a perfect guy to move in the Wil Myers package. Get the SD prospects, and say fuck it throwing out a CF platoon of Myers/Ramirez/Sierra/Berti and see what happens. Plenty of PA for everyone and Monte comes up in the summer.

The Marlins are in ongoing negotiations with Sinclair Broadcast Group about a new TV rights contract, reports Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald. The parties’ current deal, which will pay the club a league-low $20MM for broadcast rights on Fox Sports’ regional networks in 2020, expires at the end of the season. The figures the parties are discussing for 2021 and beyond are unclear. However, Jackson notes that the Marlins turned down an offer which would’ve paid north of $50MM annually in 2017; that offer was put on the table after the current Bruce Sherman/Derek Jeter group agreed to buy the franchise, but before the franchise sale was completed, and new ownership preferred to negotiate the TV deal on their own. Whether that particular offer (or something higher) is still on the table isn’t known. What is apparent, however, is the new TV contract will be far more lucrative than the old deal, which could spur ownership to significantly increase spending on player payroll (Jackson estimates an extra potential $20MM annually) in future seasons.Last edited by tjfla; 01-27-2020, 08:08 AM.

Wallach?
Conley?
Urena?
Cooper?
Which 2 gone now.
Can't 60 Day anyone till March to open spot, Sharp 60 Day and another RP added till July
Also not sure if was said but the Kintzler deal is 1/3 with 4 million option or 250K buyout. So really a 2/7 million dollar deal. Valuable when we trade him in July-can get more for him since already under contractLast edited by tjfla; 01-27-2020, 08:13 AM.

DFA Wallach and if claimed u see if u can trade him for non 40 man C and just sign a Sucre to Milb deal
DFA Conley and trade him for 500K in IFA $ or some Rookie ball guy
I doubt they do Urena right now
When they DFA Dean they were surprised that about 8 teams called and made offers on him(which is why they got such a solid prospect) but they were also surprised that teams told the FO that they would make the same offer for Cooper. This is why I keep saying Cooper DFA is very very possible
Another guy to watch is Robert Dugger. I dont think they do it BUT they have talked to guys like Jason Vargas on milb deal who could replace Dugger. Dugger is the 6th SP/optioned up AAA guy right now until young better SP are ready and likely long term LR guy
Thing about Wallach is they think they would lose him and FO is concerned about Cervelli and his concussions
As far as DFA go pretty much if they dont think u will be on the team in 2021 u could go.Last edited by tjfla; 01-27-2020, 08:56 AM.

The Reds are signing Castellanos. It'll be interesting to see what kind of deal he ended up getting.

Probably a bigger upside on Cervelli as a guy who could step in as a starter if Alfaro gets hurt or is just terrible, since Cervelli was actually a good starting catcher as recent as 2018, but like you said there's a lot of risk there.
