  • Now when word about the promises gets out do you ever expect other than the most desperate of free agents to ever sign with these clowns ?

You know he didn't have to come to Miami, but Selig didn't want him in Washington. I think we all know why now. Selig didn't care about Montreal and didn't care about South Florida. If that isn't evident now, you who disbelieve will never see the truth.

And never expect an All-Star Game here either.

    • Word about the promises. Enough with dramatics maybe?

I imagine you hear that Urban Meyer told Gavin Dickey he would be a starter if he went to UF and then said NOBODY WILL EVER GO THERE AGAIN!!!! THE PROMISES!!!

Apples and Oranges. Making a recruiting promise to a kid and then one to a grown man are very different, at least to me they are.

Well Urban Meyer has been known as a big douche for years anyways. Any kid that signs with him is asking for it.

Loria had said he was turning over a new leaf, and promised those guys they would not be traded. And it involves more people than just a kid. These men have families, more than likely the kid doesn't.

            • The point is stop being so dramatic with everything, it's way over the top

              • Just throwing this out there, but maybe a fair comparison for Hechavarria is Alex Gonzalez? Gonzo did have more power (23 homeruns in 2004 and 2010) but was all over the place with the batting average.

                • I think it was already thrown out there, and the consensus was that he doesn't have the power or extra base potential as Seabass.

Who really would've been cool to have at SS next year though would have Jose Reyes. That guy can do it all.

                  • But Hechavarria has good speed, he just hasn't used it yet? That's kinda what I've gathered from what I've read about him.

And yeah, too bad we couldn't get a guy like Reyes.

                    • Because maple syrup is also from Canada.

                        • Ontario produces less than 5% of the world's maple syrup.

One of the factors making Ontario a world leader in maple syrup production is the climate. Cold winters followed by warm and sunny spring thaws create ideal conditions for sap to run from our two main sources - the sugar or hard maple and the black maple. Most of the province's maple syrup is produced in the Waterloo and Wellington regions in southern Ontario and the Lanark and District regions in eastern Ontario. However, other areas of southern, south-western, eastern, central and north-central Ontario also have significant maple syrup operations.

Today, Ontario is home to 2,600 producers with an estimated 1.3 million taps and an annual production of more than one million litres of syrup.
