I prefer wendle to Rojas as the every day ss as long as they are planning on reinvesting the money. Amaya is very similar to Rojas. Not much power but it increased last year at the expense of his bb/k ratio. He was pretty much 1/1 his first few years but gained some power last year and it went down a little. Still good though

Another trade about to go down according to a rays beat writer but then he deletes the tweet
edit- now more rumors of a trade about to go down. And not a minor one. Hopefully no one is just trolling.
double edit- something huge is about to go down. I think it’s reynolds. All marlins guys on twitter are hinting at something hugeLast edited by fish16; 01-11-2023, 07:43 PM.

So it's definitely pablo to the twins. Ive heard Kepler, Lewis, and Arraez all mentioned. Specifically arraez and kepler. could it be a huge trade for all 3? who else goes in that deal? Wendle and prospects?
Its definitely arraez and lopez. kepler is specifically being named as well. he doesnt do much for me. give me arraez and lewis. I think it ends up being lopez for kepler and arraez. Arraez to 3b, segura to SS. Kepler to LF?
Arraez is definitely in it. Love it. Said it 2 months ago he is the perfect addition. I dont give a shit what position he plays.Last edited by fish16; 01-11-2023, 08:21 PM.

We got Kepler and Arraez for pablo. Great trade. Now we've added Segura, Arraez, and Kepler, plus hope for bouncebacks for Soler and Garcia. Finish it with Rogers for Reynolds and thats a legit team.
C- Fortes
1b- Coop
2b- Jazz
SS- Segura
3b- Arraez
Lf- Kepler
Cf- Reynolds
Rf- Garcia
DH- Soler.
If we can add Coop + to the deal and get lewis as well, move Arraez to first, keep Segura at 3b, Lewis at SS, that's a playoff team depending on getting reynolds.

Like, big picture the organization isn't stupid even if they do dumb things. They know they have a hole in CF. If Jazz could do it, they would know and try/move him there for sure given CF is harder to find right now than a 2B (but 2B is still hard(. But they aren't so why? It's likely because he's an infielder. Maybe he does move to SS after the better defenders are all gone - like Rojas, Wendle, maybe Segura, but there is something to be said of don't mess what isn't broken. We all know some of these guys take slumps into the field and vice versa. Would that happen to Jazz? I don't know. None of us know him. Plus, scarcity wise, 2B depth in baseball also sucks so it's not like moving a guy from 1 up the middle position to the other really solves an issue, etc.
The answer is talent infusion (which I know you and everyone agrees with). It doesn't need to be over thought. They just need a real CF and if Jazz eventually shifts to SS because he's the best there and they have a better defensive alignment at 2B/3B. Great.

That being said, for Pablo alone that is a good return for Arraez if they can clear out 2B/3B time for him even if that comes next year. Kepler has an option so they could use and trade him. The infield will be very good and Reynolds will be a real final piece here. Frankly, they could easily get and trade Kepler. Teams like him.
