trading bass and pop is good value, now they need to really nail it and take advantage of the dodgers not getting soto and go all in with Pablo and a reliever and maybe cooper if the value is right. If you can walk away with 3 top 100 hitters plus a few other fliers they nailed the deadline. God only knows what they will end up producing in our organization given our terrible inability to develop hitters, but at least the value will be right for the pieces we're giving up on a terrible team.

But you weren’t getting a slam dunk prospect for these players, and where the organization is, you want a guy like this who’s close over a lower level guy that may eventually have a higher upside.

agreed. All these moves need to focus on upper minors hitting prospects. We have enough in the lower minors with the glut of high ceiling SS's and now berry as well, plus mack. they need MLB ready or close to MLB ready hitters for the next 2 years. enough of these re-tread mediocre major leaguers.

22 years old in AAA is young also. There is a lot to potentially like here, especially if he can hit left handers as a righty and cover 2B/SS/3B.

I am pleasantly surprised. I was expecting some FV40 flyers for Bass/relievers, so this is an overpay how I see it. Good for them to try.
