On Gallo. I'd prefer to have a high on-base percentage, speed and defense to more prolific whiffing.

Mets trade for Lindor/Carrasco will help that team a bunch.Last edited by Maddawg; 01-22-2021, 10:43 AM.

As per TV deal, I have recently read that a) the Jeter group presumed a new contract would average circa $55M per year when they purchased the team b) KC only got $40M in their recent deal and c) the Marlins will not be able to match the KC deal. Therefore, a new contract (that will start with the 2021 season) is now expected to be for less than that. I all adds up to major disappointment for the present owners.

From Jim Bowden:
“According to multiple sources the #RedSox have been in serious trade talks with multiple teams re: OF Andrew Benintendi looking for prospect(s) type return with emphasis on P & OF....nothing imminent though“
He’s a young left handed OF bat. And Miami has P and OF prospects for days.

Enjoy this last year of BA and maybe the next two with some of the pitching, because it looks like the next rebuild is about to start....sigh...Last edited by Maddawg; 01-10-2021, 01:35 AM.

wilson contreras and bullpen arms need to be priority 1 for us right now. Kimbrel (with cubs eating part of the salary) and Contreras for Rogers, Connor Scott, Jerar encarnacion and a lower level guy should be enough to be close to a deal. That would be a huge addition and really give the lineup a boost and the bullpen a reliable legit closer.

According to a #RedSox source the #Marlins were one of the teams engaged in trade talks re: Andrew Benintendi but they have not been able to agree on return. Other teams also have been involved.

benintendi i love as a player but with 2 years left before FA and at a position in which we have a ton of prospecct depth at already im not sure how much sense that makes. I'd be looking more for relievers and Catchers like Kimbrel and Wilson contreras.

They have guys to get a Benintendi and Contreras the thing is will they?
Could do something like this
Miami-Contreras and AAA non 40 man arm
Cubs-Elieser,Alfaro,2 DSL prospects 18-20
Miami-Benintendi and AAA non 40 man arm
Boston-Garrett,Jerar,lesser prospects
They talked to Boston but right now Boston asking for Cabrera or Bleday as centerpiece while we countered with Garrett or Jerar. We got SP/OF all over so if Boston lowers price we can be all over him
