    @Feinsand
    Yasiel Puig is drawing interest from multiple teams, per sources. Red Sox, Yankees, Astros, Marlins and Orioles appear to have varying levels of interest.

      @CraigMish
      Per sources Marlins are interested in FA OF Adam Duvall. Solid RF, big power, good fit for Miami. Slugged .545 the past two seasons. Only players with a higher slug % on the open market over 2019-20 : Nelson Cruz & George Springer. Lots of teams interested in him.

      Duvall or Puig would be a big upgrade to the middle of the lineup.

        Not really needed BUT if u could get either 1 for 2 mil and incentives u jump on it!! Interesting however since signing either of them would probably push Brinson OFF the roster and Harold to AAA or traded. I still think they are pushing hard for a 4 or 5 for 1 trade that includes a SP/OF/prospects

        This is NOT an offer but interesting idea that maybe they are trying??

        Miami-Joey Gallo
        Texas-Elieser,Harold,Brigham,and others

        Opens up 2 40 man spots. U get the LHB with power than sign Duvall as a FA to replace Harold

        • Gotta stand up for Harold Ramirez here. Little remembered fact: Harold was the best hitter in the AA Eastern League in 2018. He outshined the performances of the likes of Bryan Reynolds (the Pirates’ best player), Ryan Mountcastle (the Orioles’ best player) and Bo Bichette (budding Toronto star). His 2019 rookie year with the Marlins wasn’t great … but it was solid and promising. Even as a rookie, he put up better results as a Marlin than Dickerson and Marte did in their inaugural seasons with the team last year. The team is paying them a combined $21M this season.

          Harold's a hustling, exciting guy to watch. He’s also in full go-get-’em mode right now – a top achiever in the Colombian League for the second year in a row. The Marlins shouldn’t be signing anybody that might stand in his way.

          Side note and additional fun fact: Had the Marlins fielded a lineup last spring or early season that included Sierra, Brinson, and Harrison in the OF, H Ramirez at 1B (he actually played some 1B this winter), Berti at 2B, Chisholm at SS, Fast Eddy Alvarez at 3rd, Alfaro behind the plate, and Urena on the mound, that easily would have been the fastest lineup in major league history! (avg sprint speed).

            It also would've been a terrible lineup.

              I thought that went without saying ...

              • Tigers have signed Robbie Grossman for 2 years/$10 million. Perhaps that sets the market for corner OF a bit and more players will start to sign.

                  5-7 is the market. Grossman little older than others. The good news is the 2 years!! Most guys are looking for longer deals(Marlins issue) 2/10-15 and Marlins are players on LOTS

                      I'm just disappointed so far. 3 years ago, this board was saying 2021 will definitely be the year we go for it. Then last year the goal post was moved back, 2022 for sure, now it looks more like we'll heard board member no doubt it's 2023....but now we need to get pitching again, so just be patient, I'm sure we'll get some offense by 2024 also some pitching too, but we still don't have too much money, so we can't ever sign an exciting player...and crossing our fingers we'll be at least as half as smart as the Rays....and you just watch us in 2025 we'll definitely be spending some $$$

                        Not sure who you're referring to, but the question has always been will we spend money. That question has yet to be answered, and it's the biggest question that faces this new ownership. I don't think anyone on this board is completely convinced that our payroll is going to change significantly in the immediate future.

                        Now to be fair to the FO, pretty much no one has spent money yet this offseason, all the top Free Agents remain unsigned. The Mets just traded for Lindor, but as of right now it's only 1 year of his services. We'll see if their able to re-sign him.

                          While the offseason is nowhere near finished, there's no doubt 2020 and the lack of normal revenue streams obviously threw a wrench in whatever plans they had, understandably.

                          Not trying to excuse a potential "do nothing", just pointing out the realities of the situation.

                          • Outside of whatever gain is made in local tv revenue, the 2021 season will be far more painful to owners than last season ... far bigger losses for every team. That will be due to full salaries instead of 37% while still playing without fans for much if not all of the season. Plus lots of extra travel expense.

                            Mets trade for Lindor/Carrasco will help that team a bunch.

                            • We liked Lindor but he is a FA next year. Marlins were never gonna trade a Cabrera and more for him for 1 year. Mets overpaid-got 2 young guys no one has really seen but have talent and a Starting MIF(Gimenez at SS/Rosario at 2B). Gimenez was NYM #1 Prospect for like 3 years

                              Deal looks better if they resign Lindor but even then its 300 million,all Mets pretty much did was get Lindor now and give him a 1 year FA pitch(Great IDEA if it works)

                                Issue with spending is everyone wants long term deals right now while Miami is looking for 2 year deals. 2 year deals cause EVERYONE should be close to ready by then-they dont wanna pay someone 10 million in 2023 when they have 4 other guys ready. We are IN and have been in on guys just not at the terms we want

                                They are linked to Duvall and Puig to replace Brinson/Harold. Would still love 2 RP but prices are nuts(Hendriks wants 4 year deal and market is 2/19 right now for ok RP HAHAHA). Still want a Rosario/Joc/Schwarber type just not for the length. Even heard some trade talk but most teams are asking about SP which they arent gonna give away. Not trading a Elieser who would make 800K for some 31 yr old career backup

                                Marlins dream would be something like this(AGAIN NOT SAYING THIS IS AN OFFER)

                                Miami-Joey Gallo and minor pieces
                                Texas-Elieser,Harold,Brigham and others

                                Open few 40 man spots and sign Puig/vet SP in FA. Get a LHB with power,better RHB and some arms
