I'd be down for that, honestly.

Throw in Leonys Martín (to appease our Cuban fans) and we've got a deal.

That may be pushing it for JJ right now, Mendoza.

But I mean, that would blow the FO out of the water, so that may be what it takes.

Any deal centered on Olt and some other significant piece seems like a pretty nice haul. I'm not a Perez fan, but it's fair. Honestly though, I think Brad Hand would be just as good if not better.

Mike Olt and Perez for JJ? F it. I'm in. After we move Hanley to the Blue Jays in some sort of package involving D'Arnaud and do whatever it takes to get rid of Heath Bell. Now that's fun.

I don't think 2012 JJ brings that haul

                  I disagree.

If Hamels and Grienke are off the market he could.

I'm not that fond of Martin Perez, though.

                      Last 14 starts (.296 BABIP), he has a 3.26 ERA with 79 K's in 88 1/3 innings.

Basically "2012 JJ" doesn't have as much trade value because of six starts at the beginning of the year when he had a .448 BABIP.

I'm not saying you're wrong; his value is likely lower right now. But it's just stupid that a lot of people (including anonymous scouts and execs, reportedly) are ready to bury him.

                        Those aren't ace numbers though.

7th in WAR, 6th in FIP. The above ERA would ranked 16th thanks to the likes of a bunch of guys like Kyle Loshe and Ryan Vogelsong greatly overperforming their peripherals.

Only a matter of time till he gets traded to Texas for Olt right?

I would think so, unfortunately :-\

There are now 2 major league ready arms waiting to start (Turner and Eovaldi)

I wish they would get rid of Nolasco, even if we just get a Bourjos and a prospect.
