Not really a big fan of any of the prospects involved (Turner with a sub-2.0 K/BB this year, Brantly is an empty avg guy so far) but I don't dislike it.

One of my biggest qualms is that, like Andrew Miller, Turner is already on the 40 man roster and burning option years even though he's only 21. Detroit does not like to give guys time to mature in the minors lol. How many top pitching prospects have they had the past few years?

List of guys that have been in the top 100 prospects that were called up with almost no time in the minors

I'm all for getting value for someone who probably wasn't going to be back next year. Infante wasn't going to bring much back on his own and he wouldn't be around past next year anyways.

They need to be careful. They stink and have disillusioned the fan base through performance, but they are going to need to get 2013 ready guys and spend in free agency to patch holes.
