      • I don't mind, but I am confused as to why. I'm guessing they might want Gaby up again, because that's really our only choice.

#Marlins are trying to trade John Buck, Team is expected to keep JJ. Details in blog
They'll get nothing for him, but would be nice.

          • Because the season is lost and he has no future on this team. Get what you can.

            • Buck makes $6.5 in 2013, would be amazing to unload half that and save $3 mil (as club controlled Brantly would make minimum)

The #Marlins say they plan to put Carlos Lee on waivers if they can't trade him by today's non-waiver deadline.

                • I expect all of them to be on waivers

                  • If Carlos Lee and Zambrano are on this team by Friday I would be surprised. We are willing to pretty much give them up for nothing(low level prospect or 2).Like Nightengale said if they can't trade them more than likely they will waive them both

We have been getting calls on John Buck(Toronto,NYM)however the contract is what is holding it up.

Mujica and Bell have also been getting calls but no clue?

JJ is still in same mode, unless we drop his price he will be staying

                    • So nothing on Nolasco? Lol

Any chance JJ is the SP AZ is looking for?

Buck will probably be kept till the Winter Meetings if we can't trade him, even tho he is 6.5 mil next year and probably would be a backup. The thinking is if a contender loses a Starter than they can try trading him to them

Havent heard 1 thing about Nolasco, teams seem to have cooled on him alot.

JJ has a chance to go anywhere that need a SP,the issue is still we want too much for him

Do you know what C, OF and 3rd Basemen we are looking at? Reports today were that we were in search for those.

If Buck were amazingly claimed on waivers, I feel 100% confident the Marlins would give him away for nothing for the $6.5 salary relief next year.

                              • @Buster_ESPN: Diamondbacks working hard on something big, and a Garza/Upton framework makes sense for both Cubs and Diamondbacks.

If that happens, I won't be too happy.
